If I could give a minus star I would. Michael Walls was hired to file my deceased mother's taxes. He claimed I was missing stock year-end statements. I requested these statements which ended up taking an additional six months. Prior to my visit I did file an extension and pay the partial amount. When I went to Michael's office the sign out side said walk-ins welcome. When I went into the office he asked me why I was there? I said your sign outside says walk-ins welcome he said well you're in luck I'm just about done with my client. My first impression of him was arrogant and rude. Because I needed help and was grieving over the loss of a parent . I sat down with him . In the past my mother had paid $200 to have her taxes done. He made a horrible comment about the fee by my other tax person who is now retired saying he probably works out of his basement. He told me it would be $525, I question and said that sounds like a lot he said OK $500. A week after I paid him the $500 and he electronically filed my mother's taxes I got a letter from the IRS stating that I owed $890 in penalties and fees. When I was at Michael's office we discussed this and he said not to worry he would help me if I did receive a letter from the IRS. When I got the letter I called him he said he was sick, I said I'm sorry he said email him all the information he really couldn't remember who I was. I emailed him all the information and scanned all the documents from the IRS on August 9th. He said that he would probably be back in the office on Friday to respond to my email. I never heard back from him today is 17 August. I called him and he acted like he had no idea who I was, I reminded him I sent him an email. He then went on to say that he did not receive it and that he's still sick. I said sorry to hear that and then continue to tell him I would resend the email. he raises his voice and said just write a letter yourself. It may take two years before the IRS response's . I reminded him that he promised he would write a letter as a tax professional and help me if I had a problem. He was furious and screamed at the top of his lungs to me " what is your problem!!!!!! don't you understand!!! I'm sick., are you that stupid!!!!And then hung up the phone. I was actually shocked at his behavior, I've never had anyone in business treat me or talk to me in that tone, screaming belittling. I have no idea how he can stay in business if he treats customers that way. I was a new customer and this was my first experience. Nothing like this should ever happen to anyone else. Unbelievable , horrible , horrible experience at the least he owes me a written letter of apology. I'm not holding my breath!!! I'm hope everyone reads this post! read more

Be careful. This gentleman will talk over you and tell you what to do even if its not the best for you financially. I wanted to create an LLC and additional business information and he said "YA DONT NEED ANY OF THAT, JUST USE THIS" and thus far, I am in a pickle. Consider using a CPA who doesnt make you feel uncomfortable or upset about preparing your taxes. read more

Mr. Walls has filed our taxes for many years. He is extremely impressive in his experience, work ethic, and strong people skills. Recently the IRS targeted my husband and I even though we file our taxes properly every year.
