I see the Doctors (brothers) for my general foot care and they are great with care, explanation,…read moretreatment, and follow-up. Both are equally pleasant, knowledgable, and considerate of age, physical limitations of the patient and ongoing care. My follow up appointments are made with my best time frames in mind and they will work hard to get me in if an emergency comes up. Two thumbs up for a great office, close to home with quality care and compassion.

WOW! I have never been in a medical building with such lack of compassion. They gives Alton a bad name! Apparently, the front desk manager and a doctor own the establishment. They must be friends with that terrible receptionist because there's a lot of complaints about her yet here she is continuing to give terrible service to the public. And treat them with disrespect! They rushed me through the paperwork when I still had 12 minutes left before our appointment. They reiterated multiple times that they wanted their money and to make sure that I had plenty of ways to give them their money. No patient first interest whatsoever and terrible front desk service. when I the RECEPTIONIST to just back off and give me a second to gather the information I was continually HARRASSED "well you just need to know... Well, I just wanna be sure you're aware that... All related to getting their money. I offered Medicaid/TRICARE/self-pay. There was no issue with them getting their money. I asked her three times to just give me a break and let me finish filling out the paperwork that it will all be fine. I EVEN HAD TO RAISE MY VOICE, But she continued to blast me with her "well you just need to know... And then had the audacity to tell me to finish up my paperwork because they want to stay on schedule. I literally had 12 more minutes left!!! and only had two more things to fill out! I told her that too, but she continued to talk over me --- Thus delaying my the paperwork done. But they could care less about us or my family member. Still 10 minutes before our appointment date and I'm writing this review because it was such a terrible experience in the waiting room.

I'm sorry to see the previous comments which obviously concern the billing and not the service…read morerendered. But - I understand their frustration. Having said that, I've been there a few times and in one visit I had a dispute with a bill and they actually reduced it for me. Dr. Nelson is very kind, compassionate and knowledgeable of her craft. Initially I was pleased to be seen so quickly and receive a firm diagnosis and plan of action…read moremoving forward. Due to unrelated health emergencies, my surgery was postponed 5 months and the entire Edwardsville, IL was simply amazing in working with me the entire time. That is, until day of surgery. Doctor arrived half hour late and was a bit giddy as she spoke. I remember the nurses commenting on her happy, yet odd behavior she had that day. Once out of surgery we were told no repair was required to the ligaments so the surgery ended much sooner than anticipated. Had a bunionectomy, with osteotomy and metatarsal pain underneath (ball of foot). 2nd toe was crossed over the big toe as a result of dislocating the 2nd toe months earlier. First time I physically saw my food post-op I was horrified!! Big toe was straight but 2nd toe looked like it had been cut completely off then sewn back in last minute as an afterthought. The skin and surgical scar under the 2nd toe was stretched and came to rest under the 3rd toe! Mind you, she was only to have opened, shortened, and pinned 1st and 2nd toe. Ball of foot pressure was not addressed in surgery either. As I healed, nothing got better and my foot didnt look "real". After fully healing (and being a patient near 18mos) I called to speak with another surgeon, in the same company, in another state. I was denied, being told I was sent to Collections for approx $245.00 I asked for details and the girl on the phone rattled off a dozen or more 'unpaid' charges - of course none anyone ever presented to me at any point during my 18mos of office visits!!! She said, well theres a charge [medical code name given] for $9.33, another for $14, on and on, with the final charge mentioned being for my very first visit! $50 from near TWO YEARS EARLIER!!! Seems patients are reeled in with kindness, but once surgery is over, follow-ups are quick, concerns go unheard, then add false bill is sent to collections to prevent you from returning with complaints or for any revisions!! WISH I KNEW NOW WHAT I DIDNT KNOW THEN!!
