I was never thrilled with Keystone Dental but it was a convenient location that took our insurance…read more We've been patients for about 3 years and multiple times have been contacted by their snide toned receptionist to cancel our appointments last minute because "the dental hygienest is overwhelmed and we're lightening her load". Though frustrating I've always been accommodating to their cancelations. Never causing a fuss or having attitude with them until this final straw. End of July, I was contacted and told my child's tooth extraction was being canceled for the same reason. Also, that it would be WEEKS before I even got a call back to reschedule! This was an urgent need due to the time frame of her orthodontic care. When I questioned how they decided who got canceled and mentioned that this isn't the first time they've done this to us, I was told " You're more than welcome to find a different dentist." Which felt like a giant slap to the face. Flash forward, I get another call from Keystone Dental. I perked up thinking they're calling about the tooth extraction, nope! I was informed that we could forget about our appointment for teeth cleaning and school forms that was coming up as well because as of August 1st Keystone Dental no longer takes our insurance. As if our experience wasn't already deteriorating quick enough with them, I found another dentist that was willing to see my daughter quickly and they asked that I contact Keystone Dental and have them email my daughter's xrays (newly taken ones on July 2nd) and her information. Which I did and the receptionist stated they would. We arrived at our new dentist only to find out that Keystone Dental sent OLD xrays and no paperwork! First call was on July 25th for a tooth extraction on August 6th. Second call was on August 5th for a teeth cleaning/school form signing on August 18th. You really think they didn't know in July that they were dropping our insurance? Our insurance website still states that Keystone Dental takes our insurance for existing patients. I genuinely think they still take our insurance but this was their was of punishing me for daring to question their frequent cancelations. I'm deeply disappointed by their conduct and will continue to take my business elsewhere regardless of insurance provider.

I normally do not do this. Today, I feel the need to honor two individuals. Be prepared to read a…read morebook. My son was having a mental health crisis, he is an alcoholic. He called the office during non working hours. I thought he would get a doctor from who knows where and would be told to call back on Monday. I was shocked when he said he talked to Dr Sabrina. She listened to his concern, for well over an hour. She sent the police to make sure he was ok and not going to harm himself. The police were wonderful with him and even went into the woods to help him find his medication. They offered to take him to the hospital to get an evaluation and he refused. They left him with a card and numbers to call if he felt he needed to go. A little while later he was still not back to himself. So he called Dr Sabrina back. She again talked to him for a very long time and tried to convince him to go to the hospital. He refused again and said after talking to her he was feeling better. A little while had passed and he got a phone call. I heard him say, Kendra you are my angel, you always make me feel better. He put her on speakerphone and paced around the room yelling at her and telling her he wasn't crazy and all kinds of things. She did not one time yell back at him. I listened to her calmly talk to him and reassure him that what he was feeling was normal in his state. She offered to call an ambulance to come and take him to the hospital so he could get his medication. She even offered to come to the house and talk to him and take him herself. She talked to him for well over an hour. He said that he wanted to give it a little bit and see how he felt. He asked if he could call her back. She agreed and gave him her cell phone number. She told him if she did not hear from him in 2 hours she would be calling him back. Well he did try to call her before the 2 hour mark but it would not go through. But at the 2 hour mark, his phone rang and it was his "angel" on the other end. He kept reassuring her that he did try to call her. He explained that he was feeling better and I was going to stay with him. I asked if I could talk to her and she agreed. I just wanted to thank all of them for everything they did for my son. I told her I would call the number if I thought he needed someone. She gave me her cell phone number and told me to call her if we needed anything and we hung up. My son and I had an ok night. This morning his phone rang and again it was Kendra. She was calling to make sure he was ok and to check on him. She told him that if he needed anything just to call and that he could come into the office tomorrow at anytime if he felt he needed to be seen. These are the type of people you recognize. I'm not putting this out there because we want sympathy. I'm putting this out there because these two individuals worked tirelessly to make my son feel whole again. Not once did they make it seem like he was bother to them. They were kind, caring and compassionate. These are the kind of people we need. Did I tell you, this happens after hours on a Saturday and Sunday. Please thank them from the bottom of my heart. They might have saved my sons life and not even realize it. Beth Ann

The only good thing I can say about this practice are the doctors: Dr. Centar, who has since retired, and her current doctor, Dr. Corle.
