I saw Dr. Burnett for chronic tonsillitis. He monitored my situation for a year and helped treat my symptoms and guided me through each one with both knowledge and compassion. After monitoring for a year and a particularly bad bout of tonsillitis he recommended taking my tonsils out. He educated me on both the procedure, risks and recovery and together we decided it was best to remove them. He performed the surgery and while the recovery was painful it was exactly as he described and through his continued top notch medical care I can say I'm glad I had them removed. I highly recommend him to anyone needing an ENT. read more

I was referred to this doctor by my GP who I absolutely love and have been going to for years. While my experience with Dr. Burnett was good- he was direct, friendly, and helpful.... I will never be coming back. Upon check-out, they billed me $150 to be paid in person before leaving the office... OK, not standard- I usually just receive a bill in the mail after it has been processed through insurance but... fine. I get an additional charge the next week in the mail followed by not one... not two... but THREE phone calls. I was on vacation for that week so I figured I would pay it when I got back home a few days later. Upon getting home, I had ALSO received two bills in the mail and two emails following up. Borderline harassment. I always pay my doctor bills on time and have never received such pestering. This was incessant and over the top contact to receive the additional payment and it was so beyond necessary. Unfortunately, it isn't worth it to go back. read more

Dr. Burnett did surgery to my noses on Jun 2019, and it has been more than one year now. My noses had polyps and sinusitis (six of my eight sinuses), so I kept sneezing and usually at least one of my noses were blocked. The surgery and post-surgery wasn't painful at all (literally zero pain), and Dr. Burnett told me that it is possible. I think maybe at birth my nerves hadn't been allocated to my sinuses. After the surgery, Aetna tried to deny the insurance coverage, and Dr. Burnett told me not to worry, and that he would take care of the whole thing. I don't know how it went because Dr. Burnett took full responsibility and never bothered me with such things. Several months after the surgery, my noses felt very good, except occasionally one of them was blocked. Dr. Burnett told me that some small polyps went back to my noses, but that the Budesonide is inhibiting them, so that I don't have to worry too much. I don't know if there are still polyps, but for the past six months my noses feel extremely well and smell well. Maybe I should revisit Dr. Burnett someday, but I have to renew my referral first. I think Dr. Burnett is an exquisite and kind-hearted doctor, but he is just too busy, so we patients have to proactively follow what he says and visit him if necessary. I would give him 100 stars if possible, but the maximum is 5. I just noticed that someone said she was unhappy about the $150 billing. I had the same issue at my first visit. They also charged me $200 or something, but I only paid $20 for each of my later visits. I don't why and never asked. I think the insurance company regards the endoscopy as a surgery, so the copay is high. I think Dr. Burnett can give you an estimated price before your operation if you ask. read more

I found Dr. Burnett because he was listed as being in-network for my United Health Care insurance plan. I was having ear pain for several months and wanted to see a specialist. Dr. Burnett hardly spent any time examining me and he couldn't find any issues. When I got the bill, I was shocked to see they charge $300 just for a new patient fee! On top of that I found out I had to meet a $250 deductible before insurance would cover all of the charges for the visit. I won't go this this doctor again.... read more

Called to set up an appointment and person who answered told me the next available appointment, which was different than what was shown online. When I pointed that out, she said if you want that slot you have to register on zocdoc, then hung up on me. I was grossly overcharged for a checkup with Dr. Burnett. The checkup endoscopy costs $550 and they do not tell you this upfront... After insurance I was still expected to pay $209 for an unnecessary procedure. They are just trying to make a fast buck- would never recommend to a friend. read more

During my visit he was really nice and patient with me even when I was squirming and I wasn't easy to work with during the nasal endoscopy. Dr. Burnett performed sinus surgery on me. The surgery successfully eliminated the problems I was having with polyps and a deviated septum. I would highly recommend him to anyone because he thoroughly tested me before surgery, did a great job in the O.R., and extensively followed-up with me afterwards. I was referred to Dr Burnett by my primary care physician to take care of some issues I was complaining about with my ears. Getting an appointment was pretty easy and the doctor was very personable and professional. I was in the office for no more than 30 min, with my problem solved. However, the office staff was a little over the top and aggressive with their billing practices. I have a health plan where I generally don't pay a co-pay and I'm sent a bill in the mail for the remainder, after the insurance portion is paid. However, the office staff required that I pay an estimated amount before I left that day. Unfortunately I didn't bring my HSA card, so I asked if I could call them when I got home and provide the information. I was somewhat rudely told no, that I needed to pay now and that I should have brought the card. Exactly two weeks later, once the insurance reimbursement had come through, I get a call on a Monday saying that I had a small balance remaining and I need to take care of it immediately. Again, I didn't have my HSA card on me, so I asked if I could call back the next day. I was told, "if you don't call us back tomorrow, we will be calling you" (total collection agency style). When I got home that evening, I saw they had sent me a notice in the mail with the same information, which was dated the previous Friday. So I wasn't even given a whole day to see the notice and respond! Exactly 24 hours later, I get the call asking if I'm ready to 'clear my balance'. I mean are you kidding?!?! I'm someone who always pays my bills on time and I don't even get one day to respond to a bill. This isn't a 60 days past due balance and the tone on the phone is as if I was some sort of delinquent. I'll find another ENT if I need to see one again. read more

Was trying to make an appointment and the receptionist is unprofessional, rude and impatient. Disappointing.

I paid my bill right after the visit thinking that all is taken care of. Then I received a letter with the claim that I owe more because the amount couldn't be determined until a few weeks after the visit (for whatever bogus reason) although they had all my (in-network) insurance information upfront. This is very in-transparent billing behavior that shouldn't be encouraged. I will not visit this doctor a second time as he obviously tried (and sadly succeeded) to scam me. read more

I'd give Dr. Michael C. Burnett, MD, PLLC a perfect 10 and a straight A+. I had been struggling with chronic allergies my entire life. I also have been suffering from severe migraines. The last few years my migraines have gotten worse. And my allergies and other sinus related issues have been at an all time high. I developed such inflammation in my sinus cavity, it seemed like there was no hope. My primary care physician had prescribed many medications, however nothing worked. Then I went and saw another ENT. That doctor prescribed some medication as well, but my swelling and problems returned months later. I also was having night sweats and having trouble sleeping throughout the night. The long story short, Dr. Burnett was the first doctor to try and get to the bottom of all my issues. He recommended we check EVERYTHING, so we can narrow down why I was having so many issues. We did all the tests and were able to get a better understanding of why I was having issues. I finally decided to have SEPTOPLASTY and a TURBINECTOMY. The results were outstanding. After the surgery I was able to breathe perfectly and my migraines have been greatly improved. Dr. Burnett could not be better. He listens and knows his stuff. If you are having any ear, nose or throat issues, save yourself the hassle and SEE HIM FIRST. You will "breathe" easy knowing you did.
