This is no longer bothering me. This type of chiropractic care is a level up from the standard spinal adjustments that I have had. It is fascia focused chiropractic and I have received great benefit in a short amount of time. Dr. Smyth is a skilled practitioner and I am benefiting from the knowledge, skills, and abilities of his practice. I highly recommend NE Spinal care and Dr. Andrew Smyth

I'm writing as her husband, who handled communication with the clinic after her condition worsened. My wife received care between April and August 2025. Following her adjustment, she developed alarming symptoms and went to the ER, where she underwent bloodwork, a CT scan, and IV treatment. Multiple medical professionals advised her to discontinue chiropractic treatment immediately. Andrew Smyth made statements suggesting that his treatment had affected blood flow to her brain and implied that, if not corrected by him, the situation could require brain surgery. These comments were deeply distressing and raised serious concerns about the appropriateness of his communication. This experience caused significant stress, expense, and ongoing health concerns for my wife. I'm sharing this information so others can make an informed decision before seeking care here.

All his staff is great too, especially Sandy is the sweetest and so patient and helpful. Insurance doesn't cover the decompression unfortunately. It's not cheap, but it's well worth it. It's much better than getting spinal surgery since surgery doesn't always work and/or many end up needing additional surgeries. Insurance companies need to step up their game - it's simple and would cost them much less than surgery does.

Please do not go to Chiropractor Kirk J Shilts. He is talkative, and seemingly harmless at first…read more However, he will find subtle ways to be sexually inappropriate to you during your visit. Firstly he asked me to remove my shirt and put on a gown. This is not common and the room he put me in had a big glass window leading into the office that he was currently in while I changed that he could easily see into. He found various reasons to touch my butt during the appointment. These reasons ranged from pretending to adjust my gown, repositioning me, even saying he was wiping something off my yoga pants. He repeatedly pulled down my yoga pants to put his bare hands on my hips under my yoga pants during adjustments. This is not common and is inappropriate. He also had me bend over in front of him while he was sitting. He pulled me close enough to him that I was touching his knees and he kept his hand on my hips and under my gown. I asked two different chiropractors and they said that is not normal and feels very sexual in nature. During this appointment he asked me detailed questions about my relationship with my husband and why I didn't have kids. He also made comments about how I look like I'm very flexible and about how I must like adjustments even if their painful. Not to mention that him and I were the only two people in the entire office. No staff, no patients. I have never been so uncomfortable and scared. Between being alone with him, his invasive and uncomfortable personal questions, his comments on my body, and his overt sexual touching during non-adjustment moments, I genuinely felt like I was being preyed upon and needing to leave the appointment as quickly and safely as possible. I am only writing this because I'm scared for the safety of any other person who is his patient that he might do this to. There are so many other Chiropractors in Boston.. Please just pick a different one. Addition: the glass window was 100% not frosted. I'd also love an explanation as to why this chiropractor thought it was okay for him to touch my butt 3-4 times during non-treatment moments. Adjusting my gown or removing something from my pants is not a valid reason to touch a patients butt. Can you also explain why you needed to pull my pants down to put your bare hands me during an adjustment if I was wearing yoga pants?
