The first two times I went I was left in the EXAM ROOM for over an HOUR each time. The staff was fantastic but the doctor was literally there 4 minutes and wanted any excuse to schedule another visit. The countless visits were useless. Any excuse to charge a specialty visit. The doctor said I needed a procedure done to my veins. They sent me to their insurance person and said that they will submit for approval and get back to me. I found out the insurance denied it by chance when I was on the insurance app. Since they couldn't charge they never bothered calling me. I had to find another vascular surgeon. My mother went in for consultation Nov2024 was pending scheduling of procedure and waited 5 months with an excuse every time I called. surgery coordination not available, vacation, off, she's at lunch. Even spoke to the office manager which i thought would resolve issue and nothing was done. Now almost a year later a call from the office to repeat same procedure when i call to confirm who set this appt SURPRISE the person is not available and they don't even have the correct insurance information. In February 2020 I was a Covid 19 patient. At that time, Covid was not a pandemic in the USA. Therefore, no doctor knew that C-19 caused blood clots, I had a huge blood clot in the abdomen cutting my circulation to both of my legs. My PCP sent me to get scans to my legs. After her findings, she sent me to a cardiovascular Dr. The doctor she recommended did not have any appointments until late April. I opened my insurance doctor's list and found God sent Dr Pereda. My appointment was for March 10...Dr Pereda sent me thru emergency for additional tests and kept me in the hospital. On March 13th, he saved my life by conducting an "axillobifemoral bypass". Dr Pereda & his team have excellent bedside manners and explains everything very detailed. 3 yrs have gone by and I thank God everyday for placing Dr Pereda in my path! No legs needed to be amputated! Yes, I will be in blood thinners for the rest of my life since there's not enough history on C-19 to determined any other side affects! read more

I was very pleased with my experience at Miami Vascular Surgery. The office staff is professional. My appointment was scheduled for 1:00pm and I was called exactly at that time, which it was good. The practice was clean and organized. I was referred by one of my friends to Dr. Juan Pereda. He made me feel comfortable right away, explained my diagnosis and procedure in detail and made sure to answer all my questions. DO NOT GO THERE! I'm not used to writing reviews however this place is so bad I had to do something about it. The staff, specifically, is awful, they are not professional at all, nor do they care about their patients. I was referred here by another doctor so I was expecting good things from this place, but the complete opposite happened. I was yelled at and greatly mistreated by the staff. Once I asked to change the size of some vascular socks I was prescribed since the initial product wasn't my size, this is a reasonable request you would expect to be able to make at any place you purchase something; instead, my intellect and mental capacity were put into question, very rude of them. Overall this place has only given me really horrible experiences and would not recommend it to anyone, even if you're referred here. read more
