I had been looking…read moreforward to having a new closet for a long time, and it was a significant financial effort on my part to invest in this service, only to be treated in this manner. From the start, communication regarding measurements and designs was complicated and full of errors. On the day of installation, after going back and forth over the measurements, I discovered that the closet was made with the wrong measurements. The installer informed me that he had to leave because the measurements were incorrect and that he didn't know when he could return. This situation was especially frustrating because I had reserved the elevator three weeks in advance and had taken the day off from work for the installation. When I called the office, instead of offering an apology or solution, the owner was rude and accused me of being disrespectful simply for expressing my frustration with the situation. I had to almost beg for them to come and fix it the same day. Later, when I realized that the drawers I ordered with special measurements were also incorrect, I called again to complain. Once again, no apology was offered. When they finally showed up, almost at 4:00 p.m., they brought a new measurement that wasn't what had been agreed upon with the designer. When I expressed my frustration with the ongoing mistakes, the owner decided to call the installers and tell them to leave all the wood pieces behind and not install the closet. I had to go downstairs and practically beg the installers to proceed with the installation since they had only left the pieces on the floor. By that point, I had already paid 80% of the total cost of the work. The installers informed me that the owner had told them to leave and that I needed to contact the office. I called again, and after much insistence, they agreed to install it the same day, but they demanded that I pay the remaining balance upfront before they would begin the installation, even though the original agreement was for payment at the end of the service. I had no choice but to pay, as the owner threatened that the installers would leave if I didn't comply. This has been, without a doubt, the worst service experience of my life. I feel completely disappointed and frustrated, especially since I trusted this company to fulfill their promises. I highly recommend that others avoid this service at all costs--not only because of the lack of professionalism and repeated mistakes, but also because of the disrespectful attitude and threats from the owner.

Not all the areas were bad, but we decided to replace all the flooring to avoid the possibility of mold forming. After remediation was done to dry the walls, we coordinated with Alex to pick out the floors. Communication throughout was great and pricing was more than reaaonable. This install was exceptional. Our quote included moving furniture, removing baseboards and flooring and replacing with new, and hauling the removed flooring to the dump. They took their time to make it right, but they worked quickly and even navaigated through some rain that came through. We had an area in our kitchen where the concrete subfloor was raised, and instead of installing the flooring over that area for a surprise broken board later, they showed us the problem and my husband grinded down that area flat. They came back the next day to finish the floors. I will always respect integrity and honesty in any company we hire! If you read reviews about floors cracking or having issues, it is very likely the subfloor had poor prep or a poor surface, so keep that in mind. I do not believe that Flooring King handles floor prep, so if you have a bad subfloor, and don't get it fixed prior to install, you will very likely run into problems as these are floating floors and are only as good as the surface they're laid on. We were very satisfied with the install, the installers, the pricing and Flooring King. They helped to make a stressful situation more manageable!

One of those pesky home improvement projects I never got around to. I contacted them on Yelp. They came out for two minutes. Seriously. Two minutes. Took a look and said they'd email me a quote. I received a quote for $900 for each awning. Full transparency here ... I have no idea if that's a good price. I didn't shop around. They made me sign a contract before they would start the work. A little odd. But fine. I signed it. They came out the next day and replaced the awnings in no time. The whole process was really fast. Which is good. And the awnings look brand new.

They were proud to work there, and spoke about doing large commercial projects in South Florida, Bahamas and the Carribean. But Jerry still keeps his homeowners happy with quality and great service. Remember " you get what you pay for". My wife and I were even treated to a "factory tour" by Jerry and he was proud of the business he had built from the ground up.
