A very good place to lunch.
After ordering an item that was not on the menu, we got off on a better footing. We had fried baby squids (whole), saffron rissotto with baby chicken braised in wine and balsamic vinegar, meatballs in home made tomato sauce, and lasagna. All were executed very well. The surprise was the chicken in the vinegar/wine sauce. It was really good. The rissotto was well cooked. The lasagna was very savory, with delicious creamy cheese. My friend who had the meatballs in tomato sauce raved about the sauce, and he is not really into tomato sauces that much.
Service here was a little aloof, but not anything I can really take a star off for. It took them a while to tell us that they were out of the polenta we had ordered earlier and seemed upset with us that we ordered something that they'd run out of. Oh well, it may have just been the language barrier. I'm awful at Italian.
So, I do think the food here is very good. I recommend this place highly on the food alone. read more
