Mi Rancho is my go to favorite Mexican restaurant if I'm in Batesburg-Leesville area. Service is always good.

Much better since they updated the place, food is good decent portion . The Pico is AWESOME ! Fresh cilantro , tomato , onion and nice pieces of jalapeno ! The spice is spot on thats for sure . So we took a little drive out to Batesburg today to pick up some shrimp and blue crabs from South Carolina Crawfish Company LLC.. we are cooking them up tomorrow and will share our thoughts after we eat! (The shrimp look AMAZING!!) But while we were in Batesburg we planned on going to Shealy's for lunch (banana pudding!!!) but sad to see it was their annual summer vacation (sad for us, happy that they value their employees with a wonderful break). So we changed gears and went Mexican! I cannot stress enough how good Mi Rancho was!! Bloody Mary the size of my head? Yes please! As per our normal, we chose to be seated in the bar (we like adult eating environments, our preference, don't hate) and were worried when we ordered a Bloody Mary and the waiter didn't know what it was.. fortunately the bartender overheard and said no problem.. still concerned but happily, it was completely enjoyable. I ordered the Fiesta Camerones and it was AWESOME!! Huge serving of shrimp, the beans were so good, honestly my heart was happy eating it! Hubs ordered the chicken enchiladas Verde and loved every bite! It might not be Columbia but I hope it's allowed because I see so many request for good Mexican on here.. Take a little trip (30 minutes for us) from Lexington and totally worth the drive! read more

Please understand that I've traveled the USA for most of my life. So I'm more than qualified to make this review!!One of my favorites is good Mexican food. Cali and Texas having the best. This is without a doubt the best Mexican food. in South Carolina by far. Great find. Only regret is taking so long to find this place. Encourage you to give a try!! The decor is rather mundane, the food is good, if a little overpriced. The portions are filling. This is a good restraunt but falls short when compared to San Jose. That said, San Jose is above average and a difficult example to match. read more

Best Mexican food I've had since moving to the South. Granted, I'm from California, and I have yet to find lengua or good horchata, but huge marks in the flavor department. San Jose's is over priced and bland by comparison. Fish taco's totally great. Chicken fajitas were on point. Carnitas enchiladas are very good. Also tried these tacito type things with beef that were pretty good. Glad we stopped in. Service was friendly and timely too. read more

I tried this for the first time the other day and got a grilled chicken burrito plate. The grilled chicken was very good and overall the plate was tasty I did find that the salsa is very bland, I wish they would spice it up a bit. Overall is a very good experience and I enjoyed it too and will be back. read more

Good Mexican food and good beer. I love getting the Chori Pollo or the Pollo Con Queso. Very friendly staff and the owners are very nice.

Family friendly. They are always very polite, and their food is a crowd pleaser, that is saying a lot with 4 kids under 10!

Better than San Jose for flavors most of the time. For whatever reason their food never tastes good when I get it for take out, but it does when we dine in. read more

The family had lunch there today. For a small town Mexican Restaurant, this is good food. I had the fajita quesadillas. It was great. This is a good place to take the family. Not that I partook but they do serve alcohol. Also, the servers are friendly and very helpful. read more

This place is horrible- awful service, rude, aggressive & arrogant owner does not deserve any business. We were out of town had 5 children in our group and were told at the door they close in 30 min but could order chips, salsa, & drinks. Another family across from us put a full food order in as we were sitting watching but we were refused chips and salsa- the only reason we brought all the children in because they were hungry. The owner came to the table and yelled at us, then THREATENED TO CALL THE AUTHORITIES if we asked for chips and salsa again (we asked only twice). Ever been banned from a place for complaining about service? Well, that's what happened to me tonight here. Me and my friend came in because she is moving to Florida and what better place to take her than to my favorite Mexican restaurant. We had ordered our drinks and food and we're sitting and waiting for our food. A couple comes and sits down behind us and it takes them about ten minutes before they order. Their food came before ours and they were talking about how hot their plates were. The our food came out and our server actually let us grab our plates. That has never happened to me there. Plates have always been way too hot. My friend ordered a Burrito with beef and I ordered a shrimp taco salad (always was my favorite there.) She cuts into her burrito and takes a bite and says it's cold. I took a bite and it was. So I tell her maybe the middle isn't so bad. It is ice cold as well. The cheese on my taco salad was in two giant clumps and it was filled half was with refried beans. I only took two bits and couldn't do anymore. We tell our server and then go up front to take care of the issue with the manager. He tells me he can only take off the burrito even though I told him my salad wa terrible also. So I give up and decide I'll call and ask for the owners number when I get home. When I call I find out this manager is supposedly the owner. I told him that was the worse service I have ever had and he tells me, "You need to decide wether the service or food was bad." So I argue with him on the phone for about ten minutes and he finally says, "Lets make a deal, you come get your money and I never want to see your face again." I agreed because I was already planning on never returning. I am very angry with how this "owner" handled this situation. read more

Went there for lunch today and asked for a large booth since there were four of us and we like to spread out and share our food but the man who seated us just pointed to a small booth and said we could either take that or a table but the place was empty and it wasn't even lunch time. It was 4 in the afternoon and since the place was dead we thought it would be fine. The man was quite rude and even went as far as to slam the menus on the table in front of me and make rude remarks to my friends parents as they tried to sit down. After slamming the menus down we all looked at each other and said lets go somewhere else. With that I picked up the menus to hand them back to him and he just snatched them away from me and stormed off. It wasn't the first time this had happened and definitely not the first time we had bad service. A waiter also flirted and harassed my friend while she ate, she has a tattoo on her chest and he stared at it and even asked if she would pull her shirt down so he could see it. She was so scared she asked if we could leave right away since he was just standing behind her and even wrapped his arm around her while she tried to eat her food. Every time we went back he would come talk to her and after today we are never going back.The waiters take forever to get your orders and bring you refills on your drinks, even had times where they forgot to put half our order in. There were multiple times we ordered cheese dip and never received it but were still charged for it, but luckily they took it off the bill since we didn't receive it. We would have asked for it if the waiter ever returned but by the time they did we were finished eating and were just ready to go and not to mention super thirsty. After so many horrible experiences I don't think any of us will be returning. read more
