Watertown doesn't have much in the way of restaurants, but at least they have one great Mexican place! Although we live nearby I would recommend this spot for anyone passing through the area. This place has better Mexican than I've had in Nashville which definitely has more impressive cuisine options. The restaurant is not big but has booth seating and a few tables as well. When we arrived we were told we could sit anywhere and as we were getting seated they brought us menus and took our drink order. In no time at all our server was back with our drinks and then brought us chips and salsa. I can't handle super hot foods and the salsa is very mild, which I appreciated. I do wish it had a bit more cilantro or flavoring but it was good, nonetheless. It took about 20 minutes for our food which was pretty reasonable considering there was a big group in there when we came. When our server brought our food she asked if we wanted more chips and salsa and she was very friendly and accommodating the whole time. My boyfriend got the las parradillas fajitas (steak, shrimp, chorizo & chicken) which comes with a side of beans, rice, guacamole & sour cream. I got the plato grande which was similar to a fajita dish with strips of streak, chorizo, green bell peppers, onion, mushrooms and corn with melted cheese on top and a side of rice and beans. I would highly recommend this dish, I had never had this kind of dish anywhere else! I'm not sure what type of cheese they use but it was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend asked for a dish of just the cheese so he could sprinkle it on his food he liked it that much too! Also, the prices were all extremely reasonable as well for the amount of food that you get. I had to get a to-go box for the rest of my food. I found a hair in my food. It was a to-go order and I found the hair at home, so I couldn't exactly complain to the Chef. Other than that, I don't like the taste of this restaurant's food. There are so many better Mexican places in Lebanon that are very much worth the drive from Watertown. (Jalisco on Sparta Pike is my favorite.) The food and experience here is so "meh" that I didn't want to bother reviewing it, but finding a hair in my food changed my mind. Honestly, Mexican food all tastes the same to me. What I did find attractive about this place is the staff. We came in on a train--about 450 of us. There were THREE restaurants open in town. We chose this one as did a crowd of others. Most places you would get an attitude and slow service. These folks were machines! We were seated and served in no time with hot, generous portions. Just ate there with my family. Excellent food, much better than we can get in Paducah. The caring service was not overly fast, but neat, clean, and friendly. They have a huge menu, they are family friendly and I was happy that they do not serve alcoholic beverages. If you want that, there is a bar across the street. I can eat a meal without booze. These kids work hard, and are short staffed, but you would not know it. It is family owned, and the most popular restaurant in Watertown. read more

I live close to this place and never went in till last week. I was pleasantly surprised about the quality of the food. My wife had fajita chicken quesadilla with peppers / onions with rice and beans. I had beef tacos with rice and beans. Both plates were excellent and reasonably priced. Don't know why I didn't come here earlier. I will be back. read more

We where pretty disappointed when we made it home with our takeout. My wife ordered polo gringo chicken and I ordered the polo loco chicken one was to have sautéed onions and the loco was to have sautéed onions and mushrooms. When we made it home and opened them up they where the same , neither had sautéed onions or mushrooms just chicken and rice with a small amount of cheese ,pretty plain Jane. read more

We decided to stop passing through going home from a ball tournament. The salsa was outstanding! My husband had fajitas and said they were very good, my daughter and I had chimichangas, they were wonderful! Great service and worth every penny!! We took the robbery train ride from Nashville to Watertown. There was 500 on the train and 35 from my own group. I know that is a lot of people for a little restaurant but my friend was served a drink with a spider web down the side of the glass. She quietly asked for a new one. The food was not good. The same person with the spider web glass and her husband asked them to take the food away they didn't like it. The manager came over and asked why. Then she said you two are the only ones complaining. My friend pointed out that not one of us even ate half of what was in our plates. The manager said well it is the same cheese as the dip and once again we pointed out it was still over half full. Two different families in our group had ordered that were wrong. One family was told to just pick the lettuce off they weren't getting a new order and they weren't getting it taken off their bill. Both the families were told by the manager that it wasn't her fault the waitress wrote the order down wrong. I couldn't remember the name of the restaurant so I had to wait until I got my credit card statement so I could write this review. It was terrible. Never again will we go back and none of the 35 people will either. We were all split up in groups of 4/5. One family was outside at tables and had to go get their own chips and salsa and refills since the waitress kept just walking by them and not taking orders or doing refills once they went and asked to place their order. read more

We visited Watertown to take in the City Wide Yard Sale - after checking out the bargains we rolled the dice and chose Mi Ranchto. We like Mexican - but, it Mi Ranchto only so-so. The first indication should have been the salsa they served with the tortilla chiips when we were seated. It was so bland - it had to come straight out of a jar. (Bland is not a name I'd ever use to describe Mexican food . . . ) We ordered off the lunch menu and the food was - - well, bland. It was okay, but I'd suggest somewhere else. Plus, no alcohol - that might be a city law - but it was hot outside and a beer would've been nice. On the plus side, our wait staff, Juana, was effficient and professional. read more
