No job considered under $50,000. My husband and I are old house buffs, remodeling our century home one room at a time. I called Moore Home Remodeling/bwkdesign, a local business in our area, for an estimate for a new deck or screened-in porch to replace our brick patio. We gathered several estimates last spring but decided to remodel our kitchen instead. Since property values in our area have been skyrocketing and our neighbors are large newly constructed homes, we have a great investment in our century home. Brian first asked how much we were willing to spend. He looked up our property online while on the phone with me, pontificated about the high cost of decks, and concluded his speech with a comment about over-improving our property. My husband and I work with contractors often. We always gather estimates to make an educated decision. The contractors tell us how much a job will cost, not the other way around.
