I hired her to do the branding and marketing for my small business, including logo design, website design, marketing materials, and social media marketing. Lauren was teaching a course at a local business center so I assumed she knew her stuff. I was wrong, and I paid dearly for it in time, money and frustration. We went back and forth on logo design for weeks, which should have been my first indication to move on, but I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. I would give her detailed revisions to a logo design but then would receive an entirely new design that was completely different from the previous. I later told a graphic artist friend of mine about this, and he suggested she was more than likely using Fiver to buy logos. Very dishonest. I paid for marketing materials that were never created. I paid for keyword research that was never done. My website was supposed to be optimized, but never had the metadata or search terms embedded. She certainly did not have a professional web designer working for her. I'm pretty sure she attempted to do everything herself. The quality was awful. As with everything, there were numerous revisions to the website, some of which I paid additional for. All social media pages, even my domain, were set up and registered to her account and her name. Something the professionals at GoDaddy said should never and would never be done by anyone who claims to be a professional. When I decided to let her go, "unprofessional" is not even the word to describe her reaction. She did not offer anything to make amends, only told me I was "blind-siding her" and "she's never had to deal with something like this in her entire career." It was the cherry on top of the sundae when I told Lauren that I no longer wished to work with her, then she had the reaction she did, and still had control over all my pages. Talk about frightening!!! I had assumed her response would be to end the relationship amicably, but instead I spent months getting things transferred to me. She still controls a YouTube channel for my business, which has old videos that I want taken down, but she won't respond to my emails or take any action. Do not ever, ever hire Freshly Baked Communications or Lauren Young to do any work for your business. Don't end up like me, paying actual professionals to redo everything and hoping the person you trusted with the brand for your small business will do the right thing.

When I received the 1st draft of my resume it had typos and a lot of grammatical errors a lot of it was copied and pasted from my old resume. If I wanted my old resume I would have used it. We had a very in depth conversation about how I wanted a resume to highlight my leadership qualities, I don't think she understood and did have the ethical standards to just say she couldn't produce what I needed. After 4 or 5 drafts, my resume was presented to me with new typos and grammar errors, one of my job titles was wrong, dates were incorrectly changed. The owner, Lauren claimed not to see the mistakes. I showed the resume produced by Freshly Baked to many seasoned business professionals, all in senior management roles. ALL of them stated they would not ever bother to call me if this was the resume presented to them. All deemed it busy, to wordy, boring, and did not see any real description of what I do. The parts they liked....where the copy/paste from my old resume. She will require payment upfront and will stop returning your emails once she feels the resume is completed to her incompetent standards. I can't be sure but I think she is trying to write the resumes herself, but claiming to have professional writers on staff. I was charged $150 for something I cannot even use. I filed a complaint with the BBB and have not received any help from them either. BEWARE of Freshly Baked, unless you need of some Freshly Baked lies. This company is unprofessional and needs to be out of business. Do not pay for anything upfront!!!! Find a true professional and set an appointment at the office to see that kind of company you are dealing with.

JT is a small, boutique communications firm, yet it somehow has managed to add 11 collective Vice Presidents and Executives to their leadership. Points for female driven but there's still room to grow.
