I got a flat a few mikes away and called around to 3 places before finding Mexicali on Yelp, 2 of the places wanted $300 for a new tire the other place wanted $160 for a used tire and Mexicali hooked it up for a fraction of that! THEY ALWAYS HAVE THE SIZE YOU NEED. They only take 20 minutes to get you in and driving off. Anywhere else, run flats are about $100. Here they're only $50. SCORE. I've been here 3 times so far and that's because every time I call they always have my size. I've taken 3 separate cars here and every time they've had what I needed. There's a few places to sit and everyone is really laid back and cool. It's not Pep Boys for sure, but neither are their prices. I know going to predominantly male-centric vendors can be intimidating, but if you can hang with dudes pretty easily as a female you'll get along just fine here. They also take credit cards and will put air in all your tires if you ask them, because honestly I hate going to the gas station to do that. read more

The service was good and the person that patched up my tire was quick. But make sure to check that they are charging you what they said they would. The person who was patching up my tire told me it was going to be $20. And when I went to pay, the lady at the register put $21, I asked her why I was being charged $21 when I clearly heard him tell her it was going to be $20. She said it was a transaction fee--which is not stated anywhere in their shop nor did she tell me that before she charged me. This will be the last time I come this place read more

I hate giving bad reviews, I won't say much about it because perhaps different people will have different experience. All I can say is that their prices for my 1997 Toyota Camry was 30% higher than what I normally get them for and when I asked if it was possible to only get 1 tire just so that I could get home the person here refused to give me service. He gave me an ultimatum, it was either I get all the tires or non. He refused to sell me 1 tire. Anyway, hope your experience is different. read more

This place is or would be good because they give an "ok" price for used tires. I've been here many times - on average 2-3 times a year for the past 3 years. The thing about establishments like this is they have the ability to lowball customers. Oscar is the person I usually dealt with and it's a 50-50 he will work with you. I come here for the same kind of tires all the time and they always fluctuate with their pricing. I understand they gotta make their money but as a customer who comes here all the time and they know it - you'd think they'd cut with the low balling. I just hate how they tell you a price one day and change it the next 5 mins to see if they can get more. Yeah I can take my business elsewhere & this is the last time I go to them. They can't even furnish a receipt - that's shady. If you want consistency and assurance that their not trying to maximize as much or change their costs in minutes after telling you one thing - take your business elsewhere! *they only take cash - supposedly. I was so pleased with their serviced until today... my tire blew up!! took my car to replace my blown up tire. There were 3 cars ahead of me by the time he got to my car in only took him under 10 minutes to replace my tire. all in all the service was pretty good, affordable and fast. read more

If you want 40$ used tires, you can get them here, but beyond that you're running out of luck. Had them do my breaks only to be left with an awful screeching noise afterwards, which they assured me was a question of the breakpads "getting used" to the new Rotors--what BS! Just an excuse to cover up the mediocre and faulty installation of the breaks! I had to take it to a competent mechanic who discovered the mess I was left with. So DO NOT GET YOUR BREAKS DONE HERE! Also, $15 for fixing a tiny hole in a tire is WAY OVERPRICED! I HAVE NEVER PAID MORE THAN $8 for a simple fix like that, and only 5 from my regular tire guy. Once again, these people are not out to do you any favors. A bit shady too: you will notice that no matter what price the worker quotes you, it is double checked by the lady who takes your money. She invariably asks: "how much did he tell you?" Even though she knows the extent of the work done. Are they changing prices around? Do they not trust their employees? First they make me get cash when there's a credit card machine available and now I know why, after leaving my tire has went flat 5 different times and they're saying without a receipt they can't help me without charging me for it, due to work and their early closing hours today has been the first day available for me to go in and see what's going on, mind you I've bought 4/5 tires from these people and have left reviews on yelp (per their request) and the ONE time I have an issue with them giving me a bunk tire I get absolutely no help or respect I ask "what if it's a fault of your company's, do I have to pay for a patch or replacement" the answer is yes no matter what so be sure to CHECK EVERYTHING and WATCH them do the job if you get a tire from here because you pay for what you get and that's it read more

I never write reviews, but these guys are absolute life savers. I awoke to a flat in the morning. I went to them on the recommendation of my AAA guy. My rim was bent from hitting one of the many massive potholes in SFV, and the tire was leaking air. They managed to fix the rim, save the tire, and gave me a great price. I should mention that I know nothing about tires, and they could have told me I needed a new rim, but they were honest. Honesty is hard to find these days, especially when it comes to mechanics and tires. They were so very nice. What can I say? These guys are awesome! I was getting my smog check across from them which is also a great place to check out called "Le's Smog" and he was great. But these guys at Mexicali tires really took care of me. They noticed my flat tire instantly and told me they could replace it with a used tire for $30! What a deal!! Oscar and Marvin were just great. They both worked together on my tire, and they were just phenomenal! They did a wonderful job and they even checked my tire pressure and within 10 minutes, they were done! I would definitely recommend my friends and family to get their tires done here. Rosa is the lady at the counter, and she too was nice! This is a family owned business and they know how to take care of their customers and make sure they go home happy. The service here was absolutely amazing! I first called in asking for the price for installation and boom right away they gave me an accurate price. I then went there and the owner was very kind and understood my problems. I also asked him how much it would cost to pump air into all my tires and he said absolutely for free. LAZY WORKER. DISRESPECTFUL. UNPROFESSIONAL. I come here to this business for used tires to replace my worse tires. They charge $45 for a used tire. They used to charge $40. I'm writing this negative review because on the morning of January 19 at about 8:45, I arrived to get a used tire. There was one worker there who had a donut or danish or breakfast sandwich in hand and a cup of coffee. He asked what I needed. I said I need one tire (it usually takes them about 12 minutest to get me in and out). He told me he wanted to finish his breakfast and he would help me in 15 minutes. He wanted me to stand there and watch him eat breakfast for 15 minutes! I said, "Well, then I'll leave." He said, "OK." What is our society coming to - or at least this business - where you can tell a customer to wait while you stuff your face? It is a stain on this business. I went to Mexicali Tires to check the pressure on my tires because of my warning light was on. This guy Oscar that worked there put air in my tires and after he tells me that it was a $2 charge. Mind me I do not caring cash on me and I happened to have just $1. I told him no one else where charge me for that. . He was arguing with me for like 20 minutes not wanting to take the dollar I had. Finally a little old lady came out and he told her in Spanish I only had one dollar and she said ok. As I was getting in the car he said " I just know Cheap people when I see them" I can't believe I went through this over a dollar and if he would have told me before he put the air in my tires, I would have had a choice to get in my car and go else where. read more

One of my tires had consistently gotten flat. I decided to drive it over to Mexicali Tires. I went in and they looked at my tire and said that it had "internal damage" and that I would need a new tire. I didn't understand how they could just see that it had internal damage but they said it was because a bad alignment due to the lowering of my car.One man came and jacked my car up and agreed with the first man. I asked how much the tire would cost and the man said that it would be $45. I was like oh I got it done for $30 before. He took the jack off my car immediately and said NO NO NO and just walked off into the garage. He was so INCREDIBLY rude.l I had never been dismissed in that manner before. I got in my car and drove off. I went to another tire place and they jacked up my car and there was a NAIL IN IT. They patched my car for $5 and sent me on my way. WHAT A WAY TO DO BUSINESS MEXICALI. Then the pesky grandma has to go ahead, be mean and ruin things. This is the valley. There are tire shops like there are McDonalds. Carlos, who did my brakes, was very thorough in his last inspection and very helpful with identifying the other issues i had with my car.
