Considering how far Mexico is from Vienna, Pancho's does a good job re-creating an authentic…read moreTex-Mex taste. My wife and I started with a small portion of Nachos with cheese and jalapeño's which tasted great but I felt was a smaller portion for 4.50e than I was expecting. The salsa was tasty with a nice spice to it that was just spicy enough without being overpowering. The salsa was a puree as opposed to a traditional chunky 'Pico del Gatto'. My wife had the Chicken Tacos and really liked them. They made the tortillas into small bowls to hold everything which made it a little harder to eat than a traditional hard taco shell but she did enjoy them. I had Chicken Fajitas and they too were good. They came with 3 warm tortillas, grilled chicken, salsa, guacamole sauce, sour cream, black beans, lettuce and cheese. The only thing missing for me was onions and peppers as this to me is what makes fajitas, a fajita and not a burrito but these are small little issues. It was very good and I ate every bite. I had a 7-Up and my wife had tap water to drink, the bill with tip was 30 euro. I felt it was a good meal for an ok price, I felt the Nachos where a bit expensive for the amount we got but overall we enjoyed the meal. My only criticism is the waiter we had didn't write anything down and forgot my wife did not want sour cream on her tacos, we sent them back and in about 4 minutes she had the correct order. We didn't even look inside because it was such a nice night to sit outside at one of the many outside tables. I have no problem recommending you try Pancho today. I don't think you will be disappointed.

There is a large food selection and the food tastes good. The serving is smaller than the standard normally encountered in Vienna. Thus the price is relative high to what you get. The service is ok, but the waiters are mostly in the smoking section and it is hard to get their attention when they are there. Because of the last two points i give only 3 and not 4 stars.

Nachos seemed like they were just microwaved, the vegetarian quesadillas came with ham, and the cheese quesadillas were just hardened cheese by the time it came out. I feel bad reviewing this place poorly, because they're really, really friendly. And it's clear…read morethat they're trying to accommodate the general lack of spice and heat in Viennese palettes while also trying to serve Mexican food. It's an impossible balancing act. But it's like Fresco Grill saw a Chipotle or Chilango in action and tried to recreate it based on look but not on content or quality. To start, it's very pricey for what it is; you'll easily drop 25 euros for two people. More if you get beers or extras like the spicy salsa. Every main is in the 8-12 euro range, and there's a series of free and paid add-ons that aren't clearly delineated. But all that'd be fine if it were tasty eats. Which it isn't. It's actually pretty gross. My girlfriend's quesadilla was 100% soggy by the time she was through half of it. The meats are all cut into giant cubes that'd make more sense in a stew or goulash. There's very little spice, seasoning or flavor on either the chicken or the pork. The pork burrito with pinto beans, yellow rice, salsa, cheese, sour cream and jalapeños tasted vaguely of cumin and mostly just bland "stuff" in a forgettable tortilla. I'd avoid if you're jonesin' for Chipotle and just hit Spar for some DIY.

The ingredients are fresh,…read morethe place is somewhat comfortable, the service is fairly surly, but you won't leave disappointed... UNLESS Unless you are used to the higher-quality, cheaper, tastier options available in other cities. Things are a bit "off" here from what you may be accustomed to. The pork is cubed (really? cubed?), the chicken is white meat and cubed, and the steak is cubed, too, while we're talking about the meats. The spice level is toned down to the Austrian pallette, and they don't have any good options to pep things up. I get a little annoyed at the lack of flexibility. Substitutions are strictly verboten and if you ask for, say, a little extra pinch of cilantro, they'll charge you a lot for it and you always get a mild lecture if you ask for them to omit, say, rice for example. And, yes, we know guacamole is extra. The upstairs is nice when it's not too hot, and I enjoy sitting up there and enjoying a burrito with a nice Dr. Pepper (yes, it's just about the only place in Vienna to keep it in stock).

I am going back in time a little here... but when I lived in Vienna this was to only place to truly…read moreget Mexican food (outside of buying home made ingredients from some members of the small local Mexican community who made fresh tortillas, salsa, beans, and a few other items which they sold out of their house... and then I would make Mexican food in my tiny apartment). In fact, when I was there it was almost impossible even to get fresh cilantro. So after many months of missing these common American flavors and dishes (burritos, tacos, guacamole, chips & salsa, beans & rice, carnitas, and enchiladas), Estancia Santa Cruz was a welcome find. None of the food was up to American/Mexican Food standards, but it was pretty darned good for Central Europe. In fact, at the time, I had to go to Amsterdam for good Mexican food. That said, Estancia Santa Cruz is a lovely place to spend lunch or dinner. It has a large outdoor patio section that pleasant, a bar inside, margaritas, and vague versions of many of the dishes from the Mexican restaurants in the states that I so craved. Nothing really authentic, like Menudo, but still, plenty of craved after flavors. We had guacamole (which was pretty good), the Serrano ham plate (very Spanish and odd for me in the flavor profile but still yummy), I also ordered a big wet burrito expecting the typical American Mexican slop plate that we get almost everyplace (the same bins full of premade stewed meats distributed over various treatment of tortillas and covered in rice, beans, sauce, and cheese. But in Austria, the slop concept obviously wasn't so well received, so my plate was well ordered and compartmentalized. Still, it was tasty. My girlfriend got the quesedilla, which was huge, but a little dry, We almost ordered the Paella, which looked great, but we were a Mexican place so I didn't want to get too much Spanish food (a cuisine commingling that happens all to often for my taste... Mexican is Spanish and Spanish is Mexican.. I don't buy it). After dinner we both had flan which was good. There are more Mexican places in Vienna now, and better ones. But there is something irreplaceable about Estancia Santa Cruz: may the garden: maybe that is is on the fair grounds of Prater Amusement Park, like a more commercial Austrian Tivoli. Maybe its because I got a little drunk and had so much fun. But the authenticity of the food aside.... this is a fine place.

Lots of place outside to sit and enjoy nature. The service is impeccable. I like that the waiter are all Spanish speaking, although you can also order in German or English. The Menu has a huge section to choose from. The food is fantastic and fast. Inside has a lot of space for both smokers and non smokers. My only one negative point would be the toilets, they are very small, dirty and discussing. try to avoid using the toilet there if you can.
