This butcher is located in this indoor shopping mall, the Brücken-Center Ansbach, which makes it very convenient to have a snack while shopping as well as picking up some of your favorite meat and sausages. There are a bakery and cafés nearby.
As is often the case with many German butchers, quick-grab-to-go meat and bratwurst sandwiches are offered here. Meats are weighed and sold on a bun for a convenient quick bite. They also offer schnitzel (pork cutlet) for sandwiches.
The leberkäse--similar to bologna sausage, and it consists of corned beef, pork and bacon and is made by grinding the ingredients very finely and then baking it as a loaf in a bread pan until it has a crunchy brown crust (photos)--sandwich I got was only 1,97 €. I have paid as much as 3,50 € for less meat elsewhere in the past, so this butcher is very reasonable.
There are some seating nearby in this mall. You could get some espresso or coffee while you enjoy this sandwich, or you can just take it with you and enjoy while you stroll in to the old town. read more
