How about this idea? How about YOU PAY to take your nice clean clothes and sit in a mix of MRSA, lice, hepatitis, human feces, urine, scabies, streptococcus bacteria. And, the one who left it there always rides for FREE. Then, you go straight to your workplace carrying all the good stuff, THEN you top that by taking it it home to your families, sofa and bedspread after a hard day's work? AND, if you're lucky enough to live near one of those stations, they bring all that directly to you. No need to go to it. How can you possibly go wrong with that? And communities are fighting to bring this train to their cities? After riding the Gold Line it makes one feel like the guy in The Shawshank Redemption after he escapes from the prison via a sewer pipe. You need to go home and immediately shower and burn your clothes.

Actual sunset with no filter. How beautiful and amazing our earth is!

I just got back off the Goldline which was a huge time saver for me today. I recommend using the Gold-line train because it will save you time and money which is always good. Also by taking the train you help to keep the pollution down by keeping so many cars off of the busy roads and freeways. Less carbon emissions. I was lucky enough to catch the sunset, which was simply breathtaking. Such a beautiful site to see, I took the photo attached with no filter at all just an iPhone. Hope you enjoy and have a great upcoming New Year's.

It's wonderful to have decent transportation finally. I realize the parking situation needs to be addressed for the commuters so that they can easily park and take the train, and I got a friend to drop me off on the one week I had a work meeting in DTLA and in that respect, the whole experience was awesome. Unlike the silver streak bus that meandered down the 10 in the bumper-to-bumper car pool lanes, the train of course can avoid traffic totally. The boarding area is safe, and there's usually someone to help in case you need it. The trains are clean and run very frequently (every 13 minutes weekday, every 20 on weekends.) My friend and I took the Gold Line from Azusa last Sunday at around 11am and as the photo shows, the traffic wasn't good (this is on a Sunday, not nearly as bad as rush hour LOL). For only .35 off peak, it's a great way to go the track or mall, free shuttles take you the rest of the way.

Gold line is a perfect way to avoid LA traffic to a dodger game. A smooth 45-50 min ride to Union station and free shuttle to Elysian Park .

APU / Citrus College Metro Station - Morning at APU station July 2025

I take the train Monday through Friday from APU/Citrus College to Memorial Park at 6:30 AM and back…read moreat 3:30 PM. Since the Pomona stations opened, parking at APU has gotten much better. I usually find plenty of spaces in the mornings, and I've never had any issues with my car, even though there are quite a few homeless people around the area. I use the LA Metro app to pay for my parking fare, which is super convenient because I can just pay as I'm walking to the platform and don't have to stop at a machine. Around the time I ride, the trains aren't very crowded, which makes the commute easy and predictable. Plus, I save around 30-45 minutes compared to driving home during rush hour, which is a huge win for me. There are, however, several homeless individuals who sleep on the train. Most have been harmless, but occasionally the smell has been bad enough that I've had to get off and wait for the next one. One time I was rushing to catch the train and an ambassador told me to just hop on without tapping and of course that ended up being the day fare inspectors were checking. Thankfully, I showed that my TAP card was fully loaded, and the officer was understanding. Still, I wish fare enforcement was applied more consistently, because it doesn't feel fair when regular riders get checked while the homeless are overlooked and not asked to show theirs. Aside from that, most Metro staff and ambassadors I've met have been kind, professional, and quick to respond when issues come up. The trains themselves can get pretty dirty, though I really wish all stations had the automatic doors like the ones at Lake Station to help keep things cleaner and reduce people bringing large smell carts onto the trains. Overall, it's a reliable and affordable commute option with friendly staff, and it saves me a lot of time compared to driving. The system could use some improvements, but for convenience and time savings, it's been worth it.

They do have two security guards on the train platform for passenger safety here at this station during the day. It's an easy in, easy out parking structure. We didn't have any hassles on the way back when it was 9:30 pmish. As of now, this train stop is the end of the line. It's nice that I live in the Inland Empire, that we can drive here, leave the car, and take the train to LA without worry. It's nice to not have to drive all the way into downtown LA and that this train runs super late and early mornings from this Azusa stop. Perhaps they have improved this station? The inside of the train yes, a different story. Don't they check the train cars when stopping? The first train car we got into we quickly exited as someone puked on it. You would think trains are there long enough to be checked and even cleaned. If not, they should be. Also, does anyone check train tickets? A couple people on here sleeping that appear to just ride around and get off the train whenever they wake up or feel like it. No safety on the train when crazy people are on it. I Rate the train parking structure stop a 5. Security on platform a 5. Posted Cleaning crew 1. Inside train safety and cleanliness 1. So this is a generous even 3 stars. Much improvement needed. You get what you pay for to keep a good ride $1.75 each way.

Most recently, I needed to use the service for a pick up from UCLA to home for my baby Bruin who wanted to come home for the Halloween weekend. While I easily could have went with Uber, Rich gave me an incredible deal that came out to the same as Uber. Our driver was Harry. Not only was he amazing, but he was completely reliable and most importantly safe. The car was spacious enough for my Bruin to bring home laundry to do at home. So if you have a college student who needs to arrange a ride home, Happy Shuttle is definitely the place to call. They continue to exceed expectations and their prices are affordable. Will definitely be using them again!

For our roundtrip airport transport, we confirmed twice over the phone that we needed a rear-facing car seat and a vehicle that could fit five passengers with luggage. The driver showed up without the correct car seat, and the car was too small for our bags. When we brought this up, we were told the driver "forgot." This created a stressful and unsafe ride for our baby. On our return ride, the same driver was over 20 minutes late, joked on the phone that "no one's coming," and when we asked for an ETA, gave no clear answer. When my elderly father expressed frustration, the driver threatened to leave us at the airport. This was deeply unsettling--especially since the driver knew our home address. After the trip, I spoke with Rich (the manager), who acknowledged both incidents were unacceptable and promised a refund and a free ride to make it right. Neither happened. It's not about the money--it's the principle. The broken promises and continued lack of follow-through make me feel we were lied to just to de-escalate the situation. I don't take writing negative reviews lightly, but this experience was unacceptable. This company may have good ratings, but if something goes wrong, you're on your own. I would not trust them again--especially if you're traveling with children.
