At first it seemed weird to me to review a church - but after thinking about I think there is a unbiased way to write this. This church is one of the most welcoming churches I have ever been to. Everyone here is beyond friendly and walks right up to you to introduce themselves. Sometimes the first few weeks at a new church can be a bit awkward but not here. You feel like you have been coming here for years instantly. They have child care for younger kids and programs for older kids. Services start at random times on Sunday - 9:22 or 11:22 am. They have Ignited Youth groups that meet on Wednesday nights. The younger youth meet first and then 11th grade - career meet at 8. At 8 the two groups come together for worship which is awesome because you feel the energy from the younger group. This church is very involved with the community. They also have lots of activities at the church for you and your family. read more

What a blessing to find Metro Church, [a Purpose Driven Church] over a year ago when we moved here. Being a member of Saddleback Church in Lake Forrest, CA and listening to Rick Warren for 20 years, we never dreamed to find a message and a church so alive. Pastor Chad is a rising star among pastors in our world. The church has about 500 members, only 30,000 short of Saddleback however, the powerful message, the family setting and the fellow members gives us a welcoming feeling every time we are there. Metro Church is so amazing, I've had the privilege to grow up in the area and in the church and watch the buildings change and the congregation grow as the pastors have listened and followed God's will. The moment you walk in the building you can tell that there's something different, that people genuinely care for who you are. I recently had a friend come to church with me and the following week my friend had already connected with numerous people in their age group thanks to our young adults connect group! The sense of community here is so strong especially through special events and connect groups during the week! The most amazing thing is that it is such a Biblical church, they teach the Bible and they're not afraid to tell it! Whether it be from tithe and offering to the gifts of the Holy Spirit and how He is moving today. The messages on Sunday are delivered in a way that it's more of a conversation and the Pastors are not there to condemn but to spread the Gospel and the knowledge of how to live according to it, you can tell that the Pastors pray and talk to God about what they should deliver in a message. Sometimes people can look at tithing in a negative light, but when you really investigate where its going you can rejoice and honestly take pride in giving above and beyond what God has asked of you, I firmly believe that God will bless your life with prosperity if you stick true to His word. Metro Church puts a lot of effort into reaching the community during the year through the tithe that people give and even giving to international missions. Just recently we were able to provide fresh water and transportation to a church in Zimbabwe!! Even in the church we are able to see where our tithe is going with a new lighting system and decor in the hallways it looks absolutely amazing. Metro Church is dedicated to reaching new people and the people tithing in Metro Church see the big picture, that people are getting saved. My favorite area of the church is the Youth Hall, mostly because I recently graduated and I had some of the best memories, so far, while learning from the Youth Pastor. They meet every Wednesday night and occasionally have all nighters and every night is something new. From the awesome music going through the background, to the games and the message itself brought by the Youth Pastor and other leaders in the church! The messages are always relevant to teens and at the end of the night there are always decisions for Christ, which really is the whole reason for the night to begin with... The Children's ministry is growing very fast too! The Children's Pastor is extremely helpful and kind! All of the teachers will answer whatever questions you have. To keep parents from having concerns we've installed a sign in system for the children so whenever you come in you can quickly print out a sticker with your child's name, any allergies and their age group on it. It will also have a small number/letter combination that way a random person can't pick up your child just because they know the child's name. All you do is ask for your child near the classes and the teachers will send them out. Metro Church is a Bible believing church that cares, for the community, and for the people who don't know Jesus yet. Check it out!! :) read more

I think it's important to note that Chad B is now the pastor, as Daria L. has pointed out, and should not be reviewing this church because it is a conflict of interest. This place seems to be built on the illusion of family and inclusion, but their constant conditioning split my family. My parents don't talk to anybody outside of the church. They even dropped the friends that they met at Metro Church after those friends left because of an issue with the pastor. I guess this update is to say that this church, years later, continues to hollow out both wallets and souls. read more

I moved and was looking for a great church. It was important that it be non denominational and also bible based with the old and new testaments . I looked around and visited allot of churches. Then one day my daughter told me someone invited her to a teen event at their church and she asked me could she go. I told her before saying yes, I need to see the church, where is it? She said it metro church . I looked it up on line and attended that Sunday. I enjoyed the service but decided to continue to attend to learn more. After 3 months of attending I realized God was truly leading this church not people. I decided at that point to become a partner and study the word and be baptized. I have been a member now for six years all I can say; it's not just a church it's home. The members are not just visitors for service on Sunday they are my spiritual brothers and sisters . I believe God's calling everyone to come home and to do that , we need churches like metro church that are truly welcoming people home to be loved by God. read more
