My cousin and I attended the "new member class". During this meeting, we were told by the Pastor --that many of the young adults connect, with him and others, through Social Media (he encouraged us all, to do the same). The following day, we were surprised to find out (by a fellow, new member) that the Pastor decided to exclude us. The reason being that we were quiet and I guess people see us differently? We are slow to warm up, --as we are naturally, very demure and sort of soft-spoken. The situation was off putting but we took it in stride. We loved our new church home, so we just "shrugged" it off, I guess. To our horror and utter embarrassment, -- the Pastor, put in his sermon the following Sunday, that he didn't have to "include or add certain types to the church's/his social Media" and that it's a "privilege for those who choose to open up." Oh, my! We cried that day and never returned. I cannot recommend this place to anyone, especially if you're a Millennial. It just doesn't translate well to our generation. We've also really enjoyed the various small groups that we've been part of over the years from ballroom dance lessons and golf to bible studies. Excellent children's programs, and open hearted, down to earth people. I was in women's Bible study here for months and my daughter participated in the Gem's program scheduled at the same time. I made some great friends and connections here. Services are scriptural based, and pastor is quite humble, funny and amiable. My daughter is rather reluctant in New situations, but the games, singing, and art activities drew her in. Now she greets the children's director with a hug every time. Don't miss the Easter Egg Hunt, which is the best I've ever seen! People turn out in droves, but it's extremely well planned and organized. Great free food, games, and activities.

Short review here because of poor customer service…read more We were looking for a Unitarian church in central mass to host our wedding this fall. This being one of the closest to us was our 1st choice, however we had reservations right from the 1st time we drove out to the building. The 1st problem, there is no parking for this parish. The Citizen's bank across the street makes it very clear that their spaces are for their customers only, and behind the chruch is a boys club, so many of those spaces are used by vans during the weekends. That leaves around 40 public on street parking. The major problem however is once we contacted the office and set up a visit. My bride to be and I show up 20 Min's early, as we often do, only to find the church locked. So we waited until our appointment time and still locked door, no sign of life from within the building. We call the church's number, no answer, just a machine, I leave a message, after 20 min's after our appointment time we decide to leave. 2 Days later, our appointment was on a Tuesday 5:30 pm, I finally receive a phone call, on my voicemail, The office worker did apologized, and offer to set up another time to view the inside of the church as soon as possible, but by then our taste was sour for this church and we moved on.
