Much smaller when compared to Estacion Nord. Six Platforms with a couple of Cafes and a McDonalds. Bring some change for the Restroom-1 Euro. They do have a security check before boarding so plan for that. Moved quickly for us around 1:30 in the afternoon. Taxis are lined up and available. Overall, ok for a smaller Stacion.

Due to our limited Espanol and "spontaneous" planning, we decided to purchase or tickets the day before our trip. It looks like we didn't need to, as the ticketing office has 3 people manning the busy area . The station is outdated but they do have your basic cafes and a McDonald's to suit your grab and go needs. Toilettes are right by the exit. Make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early since they do an X Ray screening of your bags/luggages. We took the "Alvia" high speed train and the trip was only 2 hours! Beats going to the airport and flying anytime ;)

As I cannot really walk…read moreeverywhere and it is good that I can hop on the subway and go to amazing places when I visit a City. I like how I can take the subway from Downtown area directly to the Airport from Zone A-D. Fast and convenient. The Zone system works well as you really paid for how far you travelling compare to one fare for all. Next time when I visit Valencia again, hopefully I can spend more time exploring the City and I definitely will be using the subway more! PS. The staff at the Colon Station was really nice, even shown me how to pass back to use our ticket.. with a smile on his face!

The metro in Valencia is the worst. I am a student at the university and I have to leave an hour…read morebefore class starts because it is impossible to time it right. If google says the tram is coming in 4 minutes I can guarantee it will not be there for about 20 minutes. They need to upgrade the public transport here or add more lines because it is ridiculous how inefficient it is.

A smaller airport. The Gate area for our incoming flight was super busy. Luggage came out…read morequickly. We needed to go to the Central Station and plenty of Taxis were available. About 15 minutes to Central Station. We ended up needed to go to Sorolla but that's another story. Outbound had a wait for check in via KLM. Not sure why but the queue was moving slow and took almost an hour for a very early flight. Security Control was quick with no queue. Past Security, there are a few options for food. Tapas, Italian and a Burger King. Employees were friendly. Only 15 minutes from Valencia City Center.
