I ended up booking through her site and received a text with clear instructions for the day of my appointment, which I appreciated. Erin, the esthetician, met me at the entrance of her yard and walked me to the back where the services take place. The setup is such a cute, cozy studio tucked right into the corner of her backyard...super inviting and peaceful. Before starting, Erin explained what the facial would include, and then she got to work. The whole experience was incredibly relaxing. I also love that she makes all of her products herself and uses all-natural ingredients. It really adds a personal touch. Side note: Metilda is not Erin's name, so don't make the mistake and call her that. The story behind the name is actually really cute. I booked a waxing service and got a same day appointment, the work studio is spotless with a fresh scent and beautifully decorated, the gospel music playing in the background helped me to stay calm and focus on the Lord the waxing isn't that bad. Erin applied pressure and the pain went away. She often checked on my comfort and offered breaks when I needed them. She gave after care instructions do's and don'ts. I booked an ultra hydration facial with Erin and my skin thanked me the weeks following. I don't know about you, but with the whole pandemic and everything, I forgot to take care of myself truly, and couldn't, because well, high-risk and a lot of other things. ANYWAYS. I showed up to Erin's cute little studio humble, slightly embarrassed by my clogged pores, but ready for a well-deserved "treat yourself" moment. Off the bat, she informed me that she makes everything that she uses, that it's natural, and asked if I had any allergies. I love that. The entire process honestly could have lasted hours and I'd have gladly laid there in her care. The lighting was perfect, the gospel music was the perfect volume, and the steamer had a lovely essential oil blend going over my face that I could have napped under. Not knowing that she uses a mixture of floral essential oils and herbs in her steam mixture, I just casually mentioned that I had sensitivity both to floral scents and trace florals in skincare (rose water breaks my skin out & i get migraines from rose-based perfumes). To be on the extra careful side she completely dumped the water and made me a new mix without the floral parts. Now I'm not deathly allergic or anything, but she still went above and beyond and even checked on me a few days later to make sure I didn't have any bad reaction (I didn't!).
