Wir saßen am Fenster, Eingang rechte Seite, an der Wand, Uhrzeit 18.30h, drei Personen. 1.) Unsere Reservierung war nicht aufzufinden, wir wurden dann doch platziert. 2.) Nach Aufnahme unserer Bestellung für die Vorspeisen verschwand der Kellner mit dem mürrischen Kommentar " das war alles ?". Er hat sich um unsere weiteren Bestellungen nicht gekümmert, erst ein anderer Kellner hat dann gnädig unsere Hauptgänge aufgenommen, nach Aufforderung ! 3.) Wir bestellten ein Pils, ein Alt und ein Glas Wein. Es wurde ohne zu fragen eine Flasche Wein an den Tisch gebracht, die wir nicht bestellt hatten ! 4.) Nach langem Warten wurde dann endlich auch das Tischgedeck mit Oliven und Brot gebracht, nach ca. 30 Minuten. Es bestand kein Interesse, uns nach weiteren Getränken zu fragen ! Unser Tisch wurde komplett ignoriert ! 5.) Nach dem Verzehr der Hauptspeisen wurde unser Tisch nicht abgeräumt, wir saßen noch ca. eine Stunde vor leerem Geschirr, ohne dass man uns nach Dessert oder weiteren Getränken fragte. Kein Danke, keine Nachfrage ob es geschmeckt hat, keine Verabschiedung. Das Verhalten des Kellners war arrogant, unfreundlich und herablassend. Während des Bezahlvorgangs drehte er uns ohne Kommentar den Rücken zu. Wir wohnen in Düsseldorf- Stockum, nach diesen negativen Erfahrungen werden wir das Lokal nicht mehr besuchen, unsere Nachbarn informieren und entsprechende Bewertungen auf diversen Website-Portalen einstellen. Auch mein Geburtstag mit zwanzig Personen wird nicht bei TOXOTIS stattfinden ! Abschließend noch ein paar Worte zu den Preisen: Wir halten die Preisgestaltung für extrem überzogen. TOXOTIS entwickelt sich zu einem reinen Messerestaurant, mit einer ahnungslosen Kundschaft, die mangels Alternativen die Preise akzeptiert. Den Begriff "Abzocke" möchte ich hier nicht in den Vordergrund stellen. Die Minibeilagen sind eine Unverschämtheit, ein paar Kartoffelscheiben und etwas Gemüse. Wifi internet The only thing that could be improved is the decoration. It is pretty plain. But then again, that is a style choice that some may appreciate. There is another greek restaurant around the corner. I spoke with the married couple on the table next to mine. They are locals. They know both greek restaurants and mentioned that they think both are fine, though the food is better at this one. After leaving this restaurant I walked over the the other one to see their menu. There is something magical about a horizontal rotisserie that is fueled with life from glowing charcoal beneath. What I love about this little grill house is that they just concentrate on a few items. No Currywurst, Schnitzel or other things that are just there to have variety. Just simple yet amazing Greek food. You have the choice of three types of meat. Chicken, pork or lamb. I went for the pork souvla pita and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The meat was well seasoned, smoky, juicy and had a wonderful citrus note. Superb. The pita could have been a bit more crispy on the outside for my taste but other than that it was a soft piece of yummy bread. I won't deny that the person who sat next to me ordered some chicken which looked horribly dry. I might just be lucky to have picked the pork. The reason why I think it was dry is their method of cooking. You have to understand that this is a bit like a fast food diner. Everything needs to go out fast. That is why some of the items are precooked and put into a container which always expose it to the danger of getting dried out. But I can only judge what was served to me and that was wonderful and made me wonder about the gyro, chicken thigh and souvlaki. SERVICE Everyone here were very nice and friendly. Plus they all actually had a smile on their faces. What else can you wish for? ATMOSPHERE Did I mention this place is small? Four tables that allows up to four persons each plus two bar counter type seats. I think they could definitely improve upon the seating area when it comes to style but on the other hand I don't think it matters that much because the star is the open kitchen and the food. RATING I came here with a full belly but I felt like I had to try out one place in Düsseldorf while I have been there and forced myself to go in here. Although my body said no, I still enjoyed my first bite a lot and the bite after that... I think that speaks for itself. Also when you come here be ready to wait for a seat or take a pita to go. This place is always very busy and you know its good when you are the only person who doesn't speak Greek.

This restaurant is a very casual one. Not chic. Radio channel playing, fairly uncomfortable seats, no Wi-Fi, the staff was certainly not trained, no question if all was OK with our food. Food tasted average, not better not worse. Toilet very clean. This restaurant can be reached from the Düsseldorf airport on foot in 15 minutes or so. The restaurant offers a lunch menu with main courses for 8-10 euro which are good value for money. I would find the restaurant to expensive to eat at night. Credit cards are exepted, including American Express.
