Captain Stu was prompt in his response to my inquiry and I was surprised he had an opening for a sunset cruise a week before we were to arrive in the area. Capt. Stu was incredibly compassionate providing an atmosphere of reverence as well as celebratory laughter. He made himself available to answer any questions and made the challenging time celebrating my wife's passing. The ceremonial voyage fulfilled my wife's wish to have her ashes spread in the Atlantic. Pleasant surprise was a dozen roses which we gave to the sea to further honor my wife's life and passing. While my current wishes were to have my ashes distributed at my favorite waterfall, I will be changing my will to have Stu, God willing, provide his service for me. Before my trip to Atlantic City NJ, I sought out a fishing charter to join, so I could do some deep sea fishing. I've done this in other seaside towns and just love it - and love going back home to Michigan with my fresh catch. Unfortunately, due to COVID and other reasons, I wasn't able to find a fishing charter. What I did find was Captain Stu and his beautiful boat, Metamorphosis. I booked a sunset cruise, and it was one of the highlights of my trip to Atlantic City. The Metamorphosis is an immaculate vessel. Not only well cared for in general, the captain also thoroughly sanitizes between guests. Masks were required upon boarding, in the captain's area, and below deck, but could be removed when in the bow or stern. Captain Stu is very knowledgeable about the ocean and the city, and he is happy to answer questions. I got to see a gorgeous sunset over the skyline and boardwalk, enjoy some time on the open water, and of course sit back, relax, and watch the city come aglow as night fell. Making the reservation was very easy and the Captain stayed in touch as well. He made sure we had everything we needed and also checked in with us a couple of days before to make sure we are still coming and also go over the directions to enter the marina. Traditionally We Hindus Believe in Cremation and then scatter the ashes in River Ganges in India, so they can go to the Sea. Unfortunately with Covid pandemic it was not been possible to Travel to India to do this Holy ritual. Fortunately we found an alternative Here in the USA. Burial at Sea. Burial at Sea is also a time honoured Tradition used by Navy and US veterans for a long time. We were very Fortunate to be able to contact Capt. Stewart Rosen @ srosen@metourneys.com  He took us out in his Boat Metamorphosis Over 3 miles from the shore in the middle of the Ocean from Atlantic city where we were able to accomplish our Ritual without going to India. Thus  completing the Return of his Soul to Heaven And his remains to Fire, earth, wind and water as per our Indian traditions. When my mother passed away we went all the way to Haridwar in India. It was a very difficult journey. A lot of Hassles It was far from a peaceful and a Holy experience. Captain Stu as he is affectionately called, has recordings of Hindu prayers. He also had some very memorable poems which he Recited in the final ceremony. He brought Roses and we took rose petals to scatter with the ashes in the Ocean. We also have a certificate with the exact location on earth where the ashes were scattered. Capt. Stu is a very polite and soft spoken Gentleman. We went out with Captain Stu for a memorial scattering of my Uncle's ashes. From the very first phone call with Stu I knew we were in capable, compassionate hands. The boat is clean and comfortable with a bathroom available and Stu also had a small fridge with beverages. On the trip out to the scattering site and back, he played our choice of music.
