There weren't many tables to serve and about three servers, so we thought it would be a pretty quick service. It was instead pretty slow considering everything. But ah well we're not on a time limit. When the waitress came to take our order she seemed pretty competent, but I guess that was not the case. I am sure I ordered correctly and specified seafood risotto. It was a longer than average wait, but everyone got their meals. Of the table we had pizza, pasta and risotto. The first two had pretty good reviews but the risotto was not up to scratch. They got both my order and an order behind me wrong for a large group of ladies. I wanted seafood risotto but instead got some strange pink thing? I queried it and asked if this was seafood but they kind of brushed me off and not being a picky eater I decided to have a go. It was some sort of cheese risotto but bizarrely it tasted of 'ready brek' a British kids porridge type of thing and the other at my table confirmed it tasted quite porridgey, though their flavour was a little bit better. It was bizarre, but I didn't want to wait again or try to complain again. So I ate my ready brek like a good boy. The lady behind waited and all her friends finished long before her when she got her meal. Also risotto, rushed and watery, so I didn't want that either. If you want pizza or pasta then come here, it seems risotto is out of their skill range. Staff were I'm afraid to say not on the ball. Maybe it was a bad night? Shame, I won't return.

We started with: Sangria, 1Liter Patatas Bravas Tempura Vegetables These were all great! The sangria had just the right amount of effervescence to tickle the tongue, and bring out the fruit flavors, which balanced well with the red wine. Note: they also offer a version made with sparkling white wine. Sangria Cavo, which we look forward to trying very soon. {:-) I really enjoyed their take on tempura. Red & green bell peppers, onions, carrots. All of which remained crunchy to the last mouthful, even though it came drizzled in teriyaki. The Patatas Bravas arrived cooked to perfection, and covered with a very creamy aioli. It was a little too much aioli for me. Even with that, though, the dish was a hit. There were a couple of misses here. Which is the reason for the 4 stars (instead of 5). The first miss: we had to order the Salmon a la plancha (grilled salmon) three times, from two different staff members. The second miss: there was a very small section of my salmon that was slightly undercooked. It was hardly noticeable, except for the color. So small, in fact, that I seriously debated whether to even include it here. This place is definitely worth a try if you're in Platja de la Pineda.

It's right in the centre of town and its a few minutes from the resort and the beach. The staff were amazing and the food was as equally as good. They have a full bar with many draught beers you would find in Ireland and the UK, except much less dear. I was happy as they had all the matches on the tellys there and my son loved the place as they have an outdoor trampoline area which was for children and you could see from wherever you were seated. If you are in this part of Spain on holiday this is a great spot to call into for some good food, pints, the match, and enough entertainment to keep the kids happy as well.

Business lunch. We are some collegues that often comes here during lunch time. It is a very calm…read moreand peaceful restaurant during winter. I really enjoy the food here, tastes very good and also the portions are quite adequate. Since the lunch is the primary meal for the Spanish people and often the first meal of the day be prepare to find big portions in most places. Expect at least 3 courses! For the price of 10.90€ you will get chips, olives and a super delicious warm bread as a starter. You can also decided between water, red or white wine. Then comes the first course, often a soup or salad (big portion) but could even be something typical from the region. Afterwards comes the second course. This could be anything between meat, chicken to pizza, paella or risotto. Not big portions but will still satisfy you. Finally the last course which is a dessert. What I like is that you can choose between ice cream, yoghurt or fruit of the season every time. However they often have a cake or a typical dessert from the region as well. I am a big fan of dessert but the ones from here are a bit poor in taste and presentation. The other day I got 4 pieces of banana and some caramel sauce over it. It looked like kid's dessert....and on the menu it said that it was with hot chocolate sauce! haha what a joke! So therefore they get a 4. Last but not least the coffee! Oh la la, absolutely the best part of the lunch. I recommend that you to tell the waitress to serve you the coffee outside. It's so nice to have a cup of coffee in the sun with the fresh air before heading back to work after having the biggest meal of the day. You deserve it! Especially if you want to avoid a heavy food coma at work. Ah, I have to mention it again; all of this for 10.90€!!!
