I tried their Tai Chi class in two different occasions and overall I was pleased with the experience. The second time I was there, I was the only student so I got a private session. The instructor was good at explaining what the class was about and provided details about the meaning behind the moves. In addition to martial arts like Kung Fu, Muay Thai they also offer kickboxing classes. They also have a lot of option for kids and teens. The place is spacious with a padded floor and an area with boxing bags. I visited using Class Pass but is sounds like they only allow it for the first couple times because at the end of the class the instructor offered class packages along with the need to buy the official uniform. Not sure if that is the case for other classes but it looks like they are looking for students who are committed to the practice. I think it's great that they take things seriously but it would have been nice to have more flexibility. I would like to go back to try other classes.

Thanks to them I am stronger, more confident, and every day I feel like MS is less and less of obstacle. This isn't some kind of McDojo or martial arts hobbyist trap. This is an authentic , catered, and defined experience run by people who care about the curriculum they teach and strive to uphold the legacy of those that came before them. The place has two different entrances, the GPS usually takes you to the back entrance where you have to walk through a hall to get here but they have signs all over so pretty easy to get there. Parking is available all around the building. The class was a good combination of weights and body exercises. We didn't use the punching bags but they have other classes that do incorporate boxing. The coach was good showing the exercises, everyone seemed to be familiar with the moves so there was no need to explain a lot which worked fine with me. There is one main room with the punching bag area and another area for weights and machines with a turf in the middle. I would like to go back to try other classes.

(Trust me! I've been to quite a few boxing classes all over Miami) 2) Instructor Frands was excellent! The perfect combo of coach who pushes, encourager, someone who cares and is passionate while also professional and funny! Also his knowledge is next level yet he maintains such a humility and grace when teaching. I learned SO much in just 1 class, he never made me feel silly for not knowing - I was actually encouraged to keep asking questions so I can enhance my stance, hand posture and body moments. So refreshing! If anything, I was slightly annoyed that other gyms didn't give the same attention to my movements, meaning I've been doing some things wrong for a couple weeks that could've been corrected if they had the same dedication to teaching true boxing. 3) The community was so kind, being my first time there others were helping me set up (not just at the beginning but throughout the entire class ), talking and laughing with me! There was a kindness that is usually cold in other gyms. as the newbie you tend to come in, and no one even acknowledges you. Not here! 4) The gym itself has a good flow and layout, quality equipment, it's clean and has everything you need to box, lift or grapple! Also I lost one of my wraps, but they had for purchase for $10! But be sure to bring your own gloves! 5) Almost forgot to mention, very key - there is ample parking! Huge props to the owners for the gem you've created in the heart of Miami! Can't wait to come back!

Well, checking out was not possible with Philip's hands-on, dynamic, and expert instruction. What we got was a great lesson in awareness of our environment and techniques that even people with slighter builds can use to protect themselves in dangerous situations. He incorporated stories from his extensive experience teaching military personnel, police officers, and regular folks from his days back in Paris. The stories stick with you and serve as a way to bridge new information to your own situation.
