Mesa veterinary is our go to doctor from the beginning for our two bulldogs. Dr Alan and his team are as wonderful as they are caring with our pets and have never let us down. We have had a few emergencies with our little rascals and even though if my was last minute, the doc cared to call personally and get us in and save our little babies. We definitely recommend and would suggest checking out. They also do grooming services as well!

We were out of town and our cat was breathing abnormally. Our pet sitter brought him in and the team promptly identified the issue, treated him, and patiently explained every detail of the process to us to make us feel as comfortable as possible with them treating our baby without being there. We were able to pay remotely and got all of our questions answered right away. They made the situation as easy as they possibly could! 2. Last night, we had a very scary experience with our dog. We brought him in right away, and the team gathered information from us efficiently to take care of him as quickly as possible. He was very uncomfortable due to the nature of his illness, and the employees clearly made his comfort and care their utmost priority. While caring for him, employees even offered refreshments and a blanket for us, since it was the middle of the night, to try to keep us comfortable. The people at this location took their time assessing him and discussed the case with us at length to ensure we were all on the same page before following through on the plan of care. Vets, vet techs, and front desk personnel all worked in unison to make the difficult situation a little more bearable. Two vets ended up assessing our dog in an abundance of caution to ensure that the right decisions were being made for him and our family. I really truly appreciate medical professionals who work effectively and cohesively to ensure the highest quality of treatment is provided. Both vets spoke with us individually and patiently explained everything to us. In fact, the night shift vet even offered me gloves and invited me to feel a piece of concerning tissue to ensure my complete understanding. While this may not work for everyone, the vet knew that I myself am a medical professional and it was so kind of her to offer this to me as part of my education and understanding of the situation. I really appreciated this opportunity, as it will help me to understand his baseline and continue to reassess the problematic area as we treat. To me, this attention to detail and empathy from the night shift veterinarian went above and beyond what I would have expected from anyone at approximately 2am. Today, the day shift veterinarian also went above and beyond. The treatment process for our dog is going to be extensive, which understandably comes with a price tag. She took the time to research the cheapest options for us to fill our prescriptions (Chewy vs. pharmacy, etc). Seriously, WOW! That was so kind of her to do for us as we navigate this difficult time for our family. Since our dog requires upwards of 7+ medications in the near future, this was so helpful and really helped to set us up for success. Our dog will be undergoing treatment for 20+ weeks, and the veterinarian on shift took additional steps and time out of her day to make this more financially doable for us. To summarize, we are truly so grateful for the compassion and quality of care that a cat and a dog of ours received at this location. We would 100% recommend them. I wish I could do more for all the people who took care of both Weasley and Haze for us. They are amazing people and we are immensely grateful! Thank you all!!!

The team at Pets Hospital went to work with their intensive care, treatment and turn the course for our puppy. She was in intensive care for four days and is now home with us recovering. The team was incredible. Every member was friendly and knew exactly what to do in their job. It could not have been done without the teamwork provided amongst the doctors aids and administrator component of the clinic. They worked a miracle and my wife and I and the rest of my family are so pleased with their care. I could not recommend them more highly and will refer anybody to take their pet to this facility.

I have noticed within the last year not only has the staff turn around been more drastic but the quality of care has truly decreased, And the cost has been very high compared to other vets in the area. And the hometown feel is completely gone. And that's not what you want when it comes to your beloved pets. The care for our one cat really made me question if they really wanted to help. I can't tell you how many visits we had for the same concern. And every time we were just ignored about what we were seeing. Our cat truly suffered I believe for no reason. I think if we had found someone that really wanted to cure him then just to keep coming in over and over again he would still be here today. Truly the last straw was our new addition. Our kitten had been sick but not too bad when we first got her. She progressively has gotten worse, to the point she started to loose weight. But that never seemed to be a concern for them which was alarming to me. I have been a pet owner my entire life. I know the warning signs. But sadly the vets at VCA just didn't seem to want to find out the core issues and help her. We have since taken her to another vet and are now getting answers and the treatment she needed and deserves! We will no longer be taking our animals to VCA. We have now found a much better, proactive and caring vet. I feel now, finally , our kitten is in good hands and will make a full recovery. Please do yourself and your pet a favor and go elsewhere.

I was shocked when Orcutt Vet told me they could perform the same surgery for one-third of the price I had been quoted elsewhere. That was the moment I realized I had finally found a vet I could trust. Since then, I've brought my newest rescue dog in for an eye surgery, which again was priced very fairly. One thing I appreciate most is their transparency: they always explain which costs are essential and which are optional, and they have never made me feel guilty or ashamed when I've needed to stay within a budget. I have another surgery coming up for my cat, and once again the pricing is extremely reasonable. On top of all that, they gave my senior Cocker Spaniel mix what I call a "miracle shot" that completely stopped her itching. I had tried everything--different foods, shampoos, supplements--and nothing worked until this. If your dog struggles with itchy skin, I can't recommend this place enough. Orcutt Veterinary Hospital has earned my complete trust. They are honest, compassionate, affordable, and genuinely care about both pets and their owners. I'm so grateful to have found them.

We chose this location believing it would be a compassionate, supportive environment. Instead, it was disorganized and, at times, shockingly dismissive. Before our appointment, we had confirmed everything--cremation, paw prints, even having his ashes shipped. When we arrived, no one seemed to have that information. We had to repeat everything multiple times while trying to hold it together emotionally. One bright spot was Dr. Sarah Fielding, who was kind, gentle, and reassuring. She was the only person who truly made us feel supported. The rest of the experience felt rushed and impersonal. And then came the hardest part. We were told our puppy would be fully asleep before the final step. He wasn't. He appeared panicked and resisted, and I had to physically hold him down. That moment has stayed with me. It was not peaceful, and it was not what we were promised. Afterward, the issues continued. We were given conflicting information about his ashes, had to call to confirm basic details, and when we picked up his paw prints, one didn't even look like his. We were told it had been made later after removing him from the freezer, which was incredibly upsetting to hear. Hoping for some accountability, we spoke with the manager, Brooke. Instead, she was dismissive from the start, insisted nothing was mishandled, and even confused our case with someone else's before telling us we were the ones misunderstanding. That conversation made everything worse. A corporate representative later reached out and acknowledged things fell short, which I appreciated--but an apology doesn't undo what happened. This wasn't just a miscommunication. It was repeated failures in coordination, care, and basic compassion during one of the most painful moments a pet owner can experience. No family should have to go through this. I would not recommend this office for euthanasia- unless you enjoy double the pain and suffering to accompany you with your grief, then this is the place for you. And you should probably avoid Brooke at all costs. She'll just gaslight you until you hang up.
