Didn't expect this movie theatre to be great but just tried to kill some time during the evening when we were staying here. It turned out to be a good choice. Don't expect it to be fancy or luxury, but it's well maintained and the quality of movie was decent.

Theater was filthy, especially considering it was the first showing of the day. Sticky & trash all over.

I visited early 2026 and this IMAX is in great shape. The current title, "Grand Canyon: Rivers of…read moreTime" was released in 2022. I believe it does include some older IMAX footage but you couldn't tell by the image quality. The sound design is excellent and some of the scenes were quite exciting. The seats are in great condition and so is the screen: no tears or damage. The sound quality is amazing. This is in better condition than the Tempe IMAX. My teenager said it was better than expected (high praise). I am an A/V nerd that watched a lot of IMAX in CA in the 90s. This show and theater are worth the money. During your visit you are probably going to see what the canyon will look like in one day, this presentation shows the canyon in all seasons, top and bottom. The restaurant and gift shop are in good condition, too. I am not a Native American; my opinion is that the discussion of the people that have lived in the canyon wasn't disrespectful or condescending. There is one line that says, "this is an unfortunate part of our shared history." I am writing this review because I almost didn't go because of some of the older reviews. I'm glad we did. It looks like the management has been appropriately reinvesting in the Grand Canyon IMAX Theater.

A Pizza Hut delivers to your seat or you can buy and take. There is also coffee. A gift shop sells branded merchandise. Easy parking 10min from the Grand Canyon park entrance.

Do not pass up this museum and ruin…read more On my first few trips to GCNP I noticed the sign for this museum, but never actually stopped. Like most folks I was focused on the overlooks and ignored this spot. After visiting I am kicking myself for being so shortsighted. This place is great. The museum is small yet very informative. It showcases the people who lived here and has several neat items on display. The things that I found so interesting were their dolls and figures made from twigs. Several were on display and they helped give you a picture into the lives of these people who lived here 800 years before. The ruins are similar to the pueblo style ruins throughout this region. They are less intact than some at the nearby Wupatki so do not expect large free standing pueblos. Despite that, it was pretty easy to walk around and get a feel for their living space. The most impressive point to me was the view of the nearby San Francisco peaks. That view must have been pretty terrifying when the volcano exploded. I hope you heed my advice and add this to your itinerary.

Parking was easy and plentiful and after parking you will see signage leading you to the trail. They also placed signs along the wooded trail explaining the small ruins of a 800 year old ancestral Puebloan village. Afterwards you can step back in time while visiting the small museum of handmade crafts by regional tribes and artifacts that date back as far as 2000 to 4000 years. I learned a lot about the prehistoric people and the surrounding land. In the museum there is a small gift shop that offers typical tourist merchandise at a reasonable price. The staff was very friendly.

It features a huge plate glass window with a better view of the canyon than Mather Point (my personal opinion) without the hassle of Mather Point crowds. There are exhibits explaining the layers (and associated timelines) of the canyon, and the unique features of different parts of the canyon and how the power of the Colorado river has shaped the Geology and life of the canyon. It is located on the "Rim Trail" and hikers stop here frequently. It is also on one of the shuttle bus routes from the main parking lot. Part of the building houses a nice, but compact, gift shop. Prices are the same as other gift shops in the park. There are handicapped parking spots down the hill from the museum, near the bathrooms (a free standing building). The only challenge is that is a steep paved grade from the parking lot to the museum, so my friend with a walker had to work pretty hard to push her walker up the hill.

We stopped here while hiking back and forth along the south rim, partially to take a break from the summer heat and to enjoy the view from within this air conditioned museum. Admission to the museum is free, but they do accept donations so that folks in the future can enjoy this museum as well. The location of this museum was carefully decided upon by some of the greatest scientists and explorers at the time of its construction, ultimately providing a magnificent view of the Grand Canyon, from indoors, for all those who enter this museum. Admittedly, this is a very small museum, but I was pleased that they do provide a wealth of information for those with a scientific mind (like myself) as well as for the common layperson through several interactive displays. These displays help to reveal the history of how the beauty of the Grand Canyon evolved into what we see today. There is also a nice little gift shop to buy clothing items, books, posters, travel mugs, and other souvenirs to remember your trip to the Grand Canyon. For anyone hiking along the south rim of the Grand Canyon near this area, you really should enter this museum. At the very least, you'll enjoy some relief from the summer heat (or you'll enjoy the warm shelter from the cold winter temperatures) along with a breathtaking view. But, if you're like me -- a person who's always hungry for more knowledge, you'll also appreciate facts that reveal the history and the science behind this magnificent location.

I will admit I am a bit biased because this was my first reading I ever had. BUT truly she is phenomenal with the work she does. I only told her my name and date of birth then she started providing me with insight and guidance. Anya was spot on with her reading and she made sure to provide me with resources to help me through my journey. I will definitely be back for future readings. Other pros include: *reasonable price *personality (she is genuinely interested in helping you and guiding you) *great response time (she followed up and responded to my questions via text promptly) If you need a reading, Anya will not dissapoint.
