As you read this, keep in mind that this is not my first experience with movers, which have all been positive. Stay away from this mover. Absolutely terrible experience and the kind of company that gives the moving industry a bad name. Zac and Tony were good guys. Jeff (supervisor) and Andrew, terrible. My move was scheduled 4+ months in advance with a 4 man crew. 3 guys arrived without a supervisor and didn't seem to know what to do, so I stepped in. Sometime later another man arrived with the paperwork. I thought he was an office worker and proceeded to have a long conversation with him, until, I learned he was the supervisor and 4th guy. I stopped the conversation. So many issues, so I'll try to condense them. Crew informed me they were tired because they had worked until 7pm the previous night. Set wet drinks on wooden surfaces. Arrived with appliance trolley even though I wasn't moving any appliances. Staircase slate was damaged because of the appliance trolley. I stopped the use of that trolley. Jeff (supervisor) left to get the correct trolleys which was 1 of 3 useless trips he made because they were unprepared. Made a big gouge in a wall. Didn't use any the of 30, practically new packing blankets I provided. I disputed the bill and after many long, time-consuming emails as well as a formal letter, my bill was reduced by $300. I still overpaid for hours worked, but didn't have the time or energy to take it further. 9 months later...Almost every piece of furniture is damaged. Add insult to injury. They stole 24 of my packing blankets and 11 outdoor mats. The crew knew my belonging would be in storage for 9 months. I sent an email to my contact at Mesa with the damage and theft problems. The email was returned so I can only assume that Tracey must have left the company. I've called twice; once to customer service and once to claims, identified my name and move date asking for the email address of the GM or terminal manager. No response. Do I have the energy to file a complaint with BBB? Not sure. But, be warned. read more

Three of the movers were great. They worked hard and seemed honest. They handled some special requests I had. But the main office was terrible. I had a house full to move including a pool table They got a third party to crate the pool table (Movers Specialty Service - MSS). The afternoon before, the Mesa coordinator assured me everything would be fine. The next day, the pool table guy didn't show, and the movers were there for everything else. I called the Mesa Coordinator many, many times and she avoided each and every call, including my voicemails and several emails that morning. She did however immediately respond when one of the movers called right after I did, and said the pool table guy would be there soon. He didn't come; nor was he ever going to from what I could tell. I called MSS directly, and each time they said they would look into it, put me on hold, and the line would go dead after several minutes. The mover who did the paperwork assured me the home office called and told him that Saturday would be the day for the table, though I would be on the hook for another moving expense. Later that day, I called Mesa's National office, who connected me with the Whitefish manager. He assured me Saturday would indeed be the day MSS could crate it, and Mesa would move it on Monday. Saturday came and went. No pool table guy. No call from Mesa. Nobody answered from Mesa. I ended up running into someone at the storage unit who knew how to move it. My biggest problem with this is that nobody would talk to me when things went bad. They avoided me and left me stranded. I could have gone elsewhere. I haven't received a call or email from them explaining, apologizing, or even acknowledging receipt of the emails/voicemails to this day (five days after the move). Wow! Mesa's damage policy is a joke too. They offer reimbursement by the pound of the product they damage, but you have to sign a waiver right after the move, without knowing if anything was actually damaged. Mesa ruined our family treasures which dated back to 1886. There was no care in packing up paintings or antique furniture. We are heart broken! To rub salt in the wounds the claims department is not wanting to reimburse us for what we are due. They didn't even inventory the items they shipped properly! Total incompetence. They lack basic understanding of how to wrap sensitive items such as oil paintings and furniture. We do not want what happened to us to happen to you. Please do not use this company. Sherman Corwin, my move manager, actually drove the truck himself from Montana to northwestern Washington to get my household goods here on time. That is above and beyond !!! Despite the seemingly great start to my move; the walk through and loading, unfortunately everything fell apart on the delivery end. My belongings were loaded in Whitefish on the 15th of the month, I was told due to the small size of my load it would be a very short transfer: 5 days was the verbal estimate from both Randy and Tammy. Now I am here in my destination of Portland, OR, and was told no one can deliver my belongings until September 5th, which is not only WAY past what I was told, it's actually past the delivery range on the paperwork. This is unacceptable and my entire move date was centered around unloading and setting up here before I entered a graduate school program on 9/4. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed, and I am spending money everyday to make up for not having my kitchen supplies, a bed, and other basic necessities I had counted on having by now.
