Having eaten at Myk a few times and been at Kouzina a couple of times - the difference is clear. Kouzina is quick, smartly priced, "greek-inspired" Brazilian food that actually works quite well. I've only been here for lunch and ordered their dish of the day on both occasions - once it was a 'picadinho de cordeiro' and the second time a basic spaghetti with calamaris - on both occasions I was with friends and we landed up sharing a salad (recommend the Myk salad). The food is fresh, service doesn't take long, you can practically see your food being prepared in their class walled busy & efficient kitchen. Also tried their dessert - a slice of warm chocolate cake with a scoop of coffee ice-cream and the turkish (greek) coffee - no complaints at all. I wouldn't call the food great but the service is friendly and the ambience is cool and yes, it is quite well priced especially for the region where it is located. Kouzina is slightly cramped, as Hans O. puts it in his review, the space between the tables is quite narrow, but hey, its a restaurant where your dish of the day (extremely wells served portion) comes for under R$ 35 - the service is friendly and you get bang for your buck. Kouzina is a restaurante owned by a group that has has greek investors - they have been expanding rapidly in Jardins and each of their establishments meet the purpose & market they are meant to cater to. Recommend it for a quick lunch - just tone down your 'greek' expectations !

First off- the place is done up very well, I felt like I was in a cozy Greek house. The maitre'd Ileana, was superb- welcoming, fun and attentive. The waitstaff took the time to help me pick the best veggie options. I started with some authentically made dolmades. I was first introduced to this dish as a teenager, and I fell in love with it at once. I enjoyed my meal, but the tzatziki could use some more dill and garlic IMO. The zucchini pasta was light and nice,although I could barely finish it after my hearty mezze. The nicest touch was a complimentary dessert of chocolate, nuts and dolce de leite-compliments of the Chef! What a fantastic dinner! I'd love to go back sometime.

(Still) Run by the 94-year-old owner Mr. Trasso, Acropoles is a jewel in the middle of Bom Retiro, a clothes wholesale neighboorhood that gets busy during the week, and lonely during weekends (except by the restaurant). You'll probably not be impressed by the look, the comfort, lack of space, or even by the fact that your food is already prepared in the kitchen and you'll have to get up and go all the way there to pick your food with the cook. But trust me, this all adds up to the experience. And why then did you decide to come here? Yes, the amazing food. My personal favourites are the Moussaka, an eggplant and meat lazagna, will stay in your mind for a long time (kudos to the perfect touch of nutmeg); another classic are their Parmigian Shrimps, deep fried shrimps covered by a tomato and cheese sauce. And, if you get more people with you, why not sharing half of your plate with someone? Portions are big enough for you to try different plates. Acropoles is worth a dedicated visit to the neighboorhood. I ordered an Aperol Spritz (yum) and a small Myk salad (gigs, goat cheese, honey, prosciutto) to start. The salad was DELICIOUS...sweet, salty goodness. For an entree I ordered the Octopus Myk since my friend recommended it and said it was a MUST. This entree was the most expensive on the menu and it was okay. The ends were burnt and the octopus was a little bit dry. Also, it cones with rosemary fries...I would have preferred a different side to go with the octopus. If the octopus wasn't recommended to me I would've ordered the baked cod with Sicilian lemon - a lady sitting next to me was having it and it looked divine. For dessert I ordered the chocolate mousse. The bring out a huge container of it and scoop it onto your plate. The mousse is not your typical mousse, it's very thick, not an airy mousse. I will definitely go back to try the baked cod with Sicilian lemon and the saffron pannacotta for dessert. The service was amazing.

As were the roasted vegetables. The Pulau (rice) was spot on. Baklava and other instagrammable pastries were on show. The stuffed peppers were yummy. The entree that I could not get enough of was the moussaka. Whereas the Greek version is often mild and homogeneous, this Turkish version is much louder in flavors and punchier. A little lanchonete on the busy Street of Gal. Olimpio, Falando Grego basically just has souvlakis. Either meat or pork in pão francês and vinagrete. Tasty, filling and for the amazing price of $4.50. I would definitely travel out of my way for one of these bad boys again.

Pedimos o kibe cru, Kibe assado, charuto de folha de uva, 2 esfihas abertas de queijo, 2 de carne e 1 esfiha fechada de carne com queijo coalho. Os pratos vieram relativamente rápidos porém separados. O Kibe cru estava muito bom porém nada surpreendente, a textura foi o que mais me agradou. O Kibe assado estava com o gosto e tempero bom mas bem seco. As esfihas foram a melhor parte, as abertas estavam bem macias e fofas, já a fechada estava desmanchando e super aguada, não gostei. O charuto tinha textura boa mas faltava algo no tempero, estavam nadando em óleo o que eu achei horrível. O preço foi um absurdo e na minha opinião não valeu a pena.
