All the staff & the owner are really welcoming and it is the most enjoyable hairdressers I have ever used. Very clean and tidy. You can't help but feel at ease as soon as you enter this light and airy salon. Nothing is too much trouble. Nice music in the background to while away the time. Really good products used on my hair......shampoo, conditioner, colour, serum and hair spray. Afterwards my hair smells delicious and is left nice and shiny. Whoever you book in with really listens to how you want your hair done and the cut is accomplished very professionally. Having my hair done is a wonderful relaxing experience and afterwards I always feel like a million dollars!! Following Covid19 the owner has installed lots of see through screens in between the salon chairs, also over the chairs at the sinks. The staff all wear masks and visors and the seats are thoroughly cleaned after use. The prices vary depending on what you are having done, but overall not bad. I fully recommend this salon.

Although fairly new they've built up a good regular client pool. I work just round the corner so I can pop there in my lunch break which is great! As usual you can opt for different experience levels with according price schemes with various discounts seasonable available - current a student offer is available.

I guess it's pretty 'funky' with its flashy paintings on the window and the display of Tigi products. Inside it's quite small, and the hairdressers (as always) looked bored out of their minds! They did a good haircut pour moi, but to be honest I wasn't asking much, just a trim so it probably didn't stretch their hairdressing talents!! However, the girl next to me was getting a half head of highlights and looked positively delighted with the end result so I'll bump up the rating a tad for her expression.

Although I have recently dyed my hair brunette, I used to get my highlights done every 6 weeks along with a cut to keep the condition - and when I came out of this hairdressers my hair looked lovely, and felt amazing - I was so pleased with the result! Moda is a pretty small salon, with only around five hair dressing seats - and like most hairdressers definitely book ahead, they get quite busy. I had a female stylist, and she was so lovely - and of course stereotypically chatty as ever! She asked me exactly what I wanted in terms of style and colour and I got exactly this. They don't let trainees cut your hair here either which is reassuring - the lowest qualified stylist is a graduate stylist, which is the level of the girl who cut my hair. In terms of pricing Moda is on the more expensive range - but then in my opinion it was worth it for the confidence I could put in them; I paid around £80 for my half head of highlights and a cut and restyle. I would recommend Moda to anyone who is looking for a good and reliable salon in Bristol, they are great and also offer you refreshments!

It's so banal and dull that I sometimes make things up to keep the conversation alive. "I'm moving to New York next week.... I'm in training for the marathon at the moment... I'm getting married next month". This is why I cannot go back to the same hairdressers more than once. So why I needed my locks tamed, Reflections on Queen's Road was next on my hit list. Friendly hairdresser? Tick. Head massage? Tick. Boring conversation? Tick. The hairdresser seemed like she understood exactly what I wanted and started snipping away. It looked fantastic until she insisted on making in poker straight and flat against my head. Two washes later and a whole lot of hairspray and I was very happy with my new do.

Inside, this one looks just like all there other salons in the city. Inoffensive, but not the place to go if you want a complete restyle.

Phwoar! Their website sure does give me a headache. The actual shop here on Colston Street though,…read morethankfully, doesn't. I really like hairdressers' that have some personal style, and don't just blend in to all the others out there with the same type of interior salon-y decoration. I personally would never come in here, just because I usually snip my own hair, and paying £38 for a haircut seems bonkers to me. However I met someone who told me that she got her hair cut here on a model night, where they get a junior to cut your hair, for £5! I pretty much immediately went to make an appointment, and promptly got one booked in. I have to say, the staff are so incredibly friendly - you almost expect them to be 'too cool for school' to bother with politeness (especially since I was asking for the £5 haircut), but they're very nice. Came here for the appointment, got my hair cut by someone who has in fact been cutting hair for years and years on men, and now is training to cut for women. He was great; really listened to what I wanted and didn't at all show any annoyance when I decided to make changes to what I wanted when he was almost done. The great surprise however, was when the haircut was done, and I was going to pay, and he came over and whispered to me 'Model haircuts are free, no charge!', to which I beamed a happy 'Thanks!!' and skipped out the door. So if you're thinking of a haircut, you're certainly in great hands with the peeps that work here! I guess £38 is quite worth it, if you know you're going to get a good cut.

The majority of local hairdressers has a restyle and wash for roughly £30 but Mack Daddy's is £45. In all, a very professional service but maybe tad on the expensive side.

Both ladies seem to know everyone who comes in - and it is a busy salon as there wasn't a gap for two days when I called for an appointment.
