I paid over 1k for a deep clean. I appreciate they folded blankets, made the beds I wasn't expecting that but I song need that. I don't need the extra I need the basics! I need showers scrubbed especially the master shower. I need floors actually cleaned especially by the kitchen sink where it gets the messiest. I needed my baseboards cleaned especially where they are dirty in bathrooms. They were here from 9-130 for 1k. Yea. Cancelling the biweekly service. I can do what they did, I need someone that will do what I can't fit in which is that stuff! read more

I feel bad writing this review because everyone at Merry Maids Hall County was very, very sweet, but I'm also a big review-reader and would have appreciated this honest review when I was booking them for our move-in clean... we moved into a 1 year old home that needed a move-in clean, as it sat empty for a couple months. The house was completely empty, making it extra easy to clean. We paid for 4 hours of a "move-in" clean and because the house is wasn't super dirty to begin with, so I thought that was more than enough time to clean what was dirty! Sadly we moved in and noticed it hadn't been cleaned at all... photos attached for proof. It was obvious nothing had been even wiped down other than maybe the kitchen counters. You'll see in the photos, dirty bathroom sinks (clearly weren't even wiped behind faucets) dirty drawers with hair and plastic, dirty floor corners, dirty blinds, dirty toilets, and more. I'm really not sure what the cleaner did for the 4 hours she was there... We had to stop moving our things inside to clean ourselves. I did reach out to them and they apologized and offered us a complimentary 1 hour service. And as much as we appreciated that gesture, we don't really see the point in a 1 hour quick clean. I haven't used this company for their other cleans, so I can't speak on those (they have amazing reviews so I'm sure most cleaners are great!) but unfortunately our experience/cleaner with a move-in clean wasn't :( read more

I wouldn't use this service! Had 3 maids come out and stayed for less than a hour. paid $500 for them to not vacuum or mop or sweep my floors. they had to send a new maid out the next day to re clean my house. Super inconvenient. I also saw them on my ring camera dumping stuff out in our front yard. They don't do refunds either. Super disappointed read more

You will not find another business - cleaning services or otherwise - with better customer service than Merry Maids. They are very responsive and in communication from start to finish, from the office staff giving you calls and text updates to the cleaners checking in with you while they're in your home. I had a small hiccup with my initial cleaning and they were back out to my home the next business day to make sure everything was taken care of. The manager at this location is amazing. He came out to personally make sure I was taken care of, and even jumped in to help my cleaner with some of the things I needed done. Jenny was also wonderful and diligent while she was in our home and did a great job with all the things I asked for. Both were very personable and professional and I really appreciate that. Warning to anyone considering Merry Maids. You will have to sign a contract and even if they do a bad job, if you break it they will hit you with a large fee. I assumed, if they were not holding up their end of the contract, I could cancel it. I was wrong. So now I will have to endure these people for another eight months before I can get away from them. I'm using the company out of Lawrenceville. They've been here four times and my cleanings have ranged from terrible to mediocre. No one has ever finish the job correctly. Two walked off the job at 5 p.m. because that's when they get off and it didn't matter that they weren't done the job. And they never leave enough time to clean your house, which is why they run out of time. You would think by the fourth time they would know how long it takes to clean your house. Twice now they've had to give me a refund because jobs were not finished. And keep in mind I am paying $200 to clean an average size home. This is not a cheap service. I went in knowing that, but thought I was getting a good cleaning service for that kind of money. I am not. You can find better for less. Just look around. Do not get hooked into their contract or, like me, you will be trapped. read more

I have had the service for several months !!! I will save a note for when it has been the complete year. I could not wait any longer for the update so far. I had used Merry Maids several years ago, and was pleased. This has been a challenge. I just want what I am paying for. I had someone that cleaned for several years and was amazing. When they half do a bed, really. Yes it is made, but not professionally. Every few weeks I will call in then they come back and do a great job, but I should not have to do that we are adults here and they do have a business. I could go on, its just an ok cleaning, very disappointed in this service, I will fulfill my complete contract and then give an update. As of now, I will NEVER use the service again. read more

I paid to have Merry Maids come to my home to clean three bathrooms and one kitchen. It took two people over 1 1/2 hours to do this simple task. In addition to them not cleaning well they also knocked the mirror in my master bathroom off causing damages to my drywall, gouges in my vanity, and scratches to my vanity. When the manager showed up at my house she came with a list of reasons why they were not at fault and would not be covering the damages they had caused. I have lived in my home for eight months and cleaned my mirror on multiple occasions and I have never had an issue with it falling down. Additionally my children's mirror is affixed to the wall in the same manner and yet that magically stayed on the wall. The cleaning was subpar, the amount of time it took was atrocious and the managers lack of customer service was appalling. As a licensed and bonded company you have insurance to cover accidents which this clearly was and yet here you won't make it right. Would not recommended to my worst enemy. read more

Its so nice to be able to come home to a clean house after a long day at work and chasing kids from one activity to the next. You guys provide a service that really helps our family out by allowing us to focus on family time and not cleaning and chores. We had several issues with the house and they worked around all of the inconveniences, even going out of their way to help with problems out of their scope of business. The worse part is you are so clueless that you don't even understand why I fired you. Two months in a row you locked my cats away from their liter box and when I tell you I have to clean up messes because of you, you give an I'm sorry no offer to pay for the need to clean carpets after them. Two months in a row your people break mu custom Christmas ornaments one cost me $90 dollars. Again the empty I'm sorry. Finally I push you to get the fixed. I tell you someone who makes these and instead you attempt to make a replacement part and make it look like a six year old fixed it giving the snowman a nose three times the size of the original. You tell me you were contacted by a wood turner who can fix it but did you do that no you took the cheap ass way out and said if I really want you to do that you can do it. By this time even talking to the liar you are makes my skin crawl. I do not feel safe knowing you still have key to my property and fear you will seek retribution for not accepting your apology. I feel like I am employing a six year old who thinks they can get away with an empty I'm sorry time after time after time. Yes I will be putting this everywhere I can on the Internet. But take slew sure in knowing that you were able to keep every penny of mine and not have to clean up after your repeated messes. read more

Merry Maids has cleaned my home for the last five years. I found the price to be reasonable and they have never increased my rate. I appreciate the consistent, professional service. The few times that I have had to call with a concern, they either send someone back as soon as possible or take care of it on the next trip. No one cleans my cherry wood floors better and that includes me! Yes, as someone mentioned, they should know how to make a bed properly, but these women are often training on the job and I don't mind giving some grace. It is better when the same person regularly cleans, but they have difficulties staffing enough cleaners sometimes. These ladies work hard and don't make a lot of money, so turnover is rather high. However, the beds are made, the bathrooms are clean, my floors are spotless and the kitchen grime is gone. What more can you expect? I will continue to use Merry Maids and highly recommend them. read more
