Although there has been a lot of change along Virginia Avenue in the Fletcher Place and Fountain Square area, it's nice to see a pocket park utilize a triangular space to add trees and native plants to break up the concrete. There are a couple small paths through the park to reduce damage from people cutting through the park.
Along Virginia Avenue, an art installation by Luur Designs of Carmel was installed in 2014. The 3D wedge looks like cedar planking that reminds me of a boardwalk. There are three limestone blocks that rise from the planking to provide informal seating for the park as well.
Although I haven't taken pictures during the flowering and growing seasons, I have noticed how the space stands out. Note that across the street, the space between the sidewalk and street has also been planted with a number of small trees to complement the park.
