Rooms are just fine and the area is nice and quiet. I'm told the cigar smoking options in the bar are going to change soon. This was one of the last bastions of civilized indoor cigar smoking in Germany. drat. Make use of the spa-it's special. The drawback to this hotel is that the wi-fi is sketchy at best and not free. Perhaps the building is too solidly built for the wi-fi to travel but this really does need immediate attention if they wish to attract all kinds of travellers.

The room was nice. It was a bedroom with a little living room. I wish we had it for more than one night. There was a lot of street noice and because it was so hot we had the windows open... but to be honest it didn't bother me and I fell asleep right away. My wife had trouble although butte had just arrived so her location clock and jet lag might have contributed. I had been here for two nithghts already. The desk person recommended good places for dinner and breakfast. next door and each was good. I wouldn't hesitate stay here again.

Rooms are nice, clean and fairly spacious considering the location right in the center of Aachen. Last time I stayed, price included parking, which is just across the street in a garage. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is quite good (German breakfast including bread, pasteries and cold meats and cheeses along with warm meat, eggs, etc.) but not worth the price (I believe it's around 20 per person), better to go to a cafe or bakery for something instead. The price is a bit high, there are places with the same quality, still walking distance from the center, that you can stay at instead.

The rooms are spacious enough to spread out a little bit. The entry foyer helps, as it's a place to store shoes, coats etc. We were both surprised and impressed with the excellent breakfast (11 euro extra but well worth it). Lots of fresh fruit, breads, cheese, meats, and good scrambled eggs too. The coffee is ok. We also enjoyed excellent service, both in the restaurant and in any interactions with the front desk. This hotel is actually slightly closer to the main Aachen train station than the Ibis that is named such- a bit confusing. If you have a car, parking is available for 8 euros a night, or you can try parking in the local neighborhood (some of it is paid, some free, depending on how far you want to walk). Our only quibble was that some rooms allow smoking, something we are not used to anymore as this has been banned for sometime in the US. So, you need to specify when you make a reservation.

The room proved to be really basic and I would even dare to call it boring. Ok everything was more or les ok, ... But no decorations, no colors nothing ... And the TV was too small. Also the bed was too short for me and really hard, uncomfortable. I also enjoyed breakfast, and this was fine.
