The woman staffing the store when I was there was knowledgeable about the works and the artists, so your questions will be answered in a friendly way. Great place to make a PEI purchase.

The gallery also features select works by Canadian, American, and European artists. The owner and staff put on temporary/seasonal exhibits that are fun and exciting to attend. In addition to the two- and three-dimensional art on view, you will find high-quality crafts such as pottery, art glass, and artisan-made jewelry on display. A small amount of fine antique furniture items is also part of the gallery mix. Whenever I have a special gift that I want to give or whenever I want to treat myself, this is the first and last place that I head to, because I always find something out-of-the-ordinary at Details Past and Present.

Intimate experience. There is an exposition area while you wait for the doors to open. This is also where you get your beverages. The bad: Seats are not that comfy. You are sitting close to other people, almost touching. People who arrive late ruins the experience. Drinks downstairs is far from theatre itself. The theatre is cute and intimate, but the seats are not that comfortable and you easily hear people talk. Not my favourite venue.

Our room was fairly large and they put a cot in as requested for our son. The lobby area had fresh popcorn in the evenings and on Canada day they had cake and macaroons as well (no charge). Our room had a window overlooking the water and Queen Street....perfect for watching the fireworks from the warm indoors. The internet wasn't working well and the tv was not connecting to Netflix or other channels. The service guy tried to fix it but could not. The housekeeping was inconsistent. One day they didn't tidy the washroom or leave more toiletries...just rolled the towels. I wish I knew there was coin operated laundry machines as I would have packed half the clothes. Great location on the water with lots of restaurants and the Confederation centre within walking distance.
