A modern, purpose-built theatre this was first constructed over thirty years ago to supply a different outlet for the arts in town, as well as being annexed to Frome's Community Colledge.
Semi-Amphitheatre in design, the seats slope down towards stage level, affording an excellent view from anywhere in the house.
A large stage with side scenery stores and dressing rooms behind give plenty of scope for any type of show, from drama to dance to music.
The front of house has a good foyer where patrons can mingle, enjoy ice-creams and refreshments from the in-house bar, and browse any of the artistic exhibitions both local and national that often adorn the walls.
With it's own car park (shared with the Sports centre) it's an excellent facility for both amateur and professional shows of all kinds.
As an extra string to it's bow outside it boasts the 'Ecos Theatre', a small open-air amphitheatre surrounded by large Standing Stones from all the various countries in the European Community. Very popular for summer shows as patrons can enjoy a picnic on the grass as they watch. read more
