It's been a month now and I still have discoloration, bruising and browned skin with blisters. Liz was nice at first - warning me when she would use more painful laser wavelengths to penetrate deeper - but then she said "I want to see your pain tolerance and see what your skin can handle" Liz blistered me. The appointment stopped soon as she hurt me. She zapped large veins that I did not ask to be treated - it was incredibly painful and I could feel my vein rupture. I went to a board certified dermatologist and they confirmed I was burned by the laser. Liz should have treated my veins and NOT tried to test my pain threshold. I am now scarred, thanks to Liz.

Sephora has a great variety of cosmetics from Bare Escentuals, but they don't have everything and they happily recommend this store. The store itself isn't very large. On one wall they showcase many of their kits (Getting Started, Beyond the Basics, etc) as well as a few of their other non make-up items, such as their facial cleansers. On the opposite side there is a long make-up counter where you can get advice or a free make-over from someone on the staff. All of their products are out so you can try anything you see. I recommend asking the staff because many of the items look scary or even dull in the container, but once they are applied they look amazing. There were a few that had a lot of glitter and I refused to try it, but after one employee applied it to herself, I hesitantly allowed her to apply to me, and it looked great. There was no glitter once it was on (I'm not sure where it went), and it was such a great neutral that it could be used as blush, bronzer, even as lipstick (I was surprised too)! The staff is very friendly and there is no pressure to buy any of the products. One of the drawbacks is that the make-up is a little pricey, but it's all natural, has an SPF, and lasts for a really long time because you don't need a lot of the minerals when you're applying the make-up. If you do decide to buy some of the make-up, don't be afraid to ask for a sample of something you're interested in, but don't want to pay for. When I bought one of the kits, I didn't want to spend more money on the eyeshadow I was eying, so the staff gave me a sample (that has lasted for a really long time) for free!

A week before my appointment I received an email from Stephanie saying she only takes cash and Venmo. I wrote to find out how much she would charge, since I needed to bring cash and I was shocked that it would be somewhere over $200.00. I'm from Philadelphia, Pa., and pay half that amount.
