The family who runs this farm recognizes us every year when we pay a visit. I should send them a Christmas card. Olin's sells - as you may have guessed - apples! They have a small variety of apples for you to pick from, like Cortland and Red Delicious, and have signs that will tell you which apples are best for eating, which are best for baking with, etc. Naturally, they sell cider here, by the gallon and half gallon, and it's all grown and made on their farm! You can also get a half dozen of small, delicious cider donuts for a cheap cost, as well as jams and jellies that are all homemade. I mean it when I say, this place probably has some of the best apple cider I've ever had. So good that I needed to list their business on Yelp and tell you all about it.

This is a lovely setting. You'll walk to the blueberry patch past a fish pond. The boys had fun spotting the fish as we walked to our picking spot - marked by the owls on the posts. We turned there and went a few paces to the windmill and were greeted by all our berries! We didn't have to pick for long. Fortunate for us, because it was a hot and humid day. Loaded bushes and great directions from the owner made for quick work. Why ever drive farther!

I loved the event that highlighted fire flies and had activities for kids to partake it…read more For the fire fly event, it was on a Friday. The kids were allowed to make a glow stick fire fly. They could also make a smore before the great adventure. We were briefed about walking across the street and given a container for the fire flies as well as a net. Then we walked across the street. Be warned, after you get across to the field the event is self-led and you can walk around the field and find lightning bugs are your leisure. It was a nice evening with my son (he's 7) and my best friend.

Not only did I attend again this year but it was the first year for my group WNY Pomeranians…read moreparticipation. We had a Pomeranian fashion show and parade! Although the weather gave us a rough start it ended up being a great and fun event for all of us! We are looking forward to next year already! Lots of people had the same idea judging from the line to get I just to park- they were asking fir donations which slowed the flow . More lines at the entrance fir admission where there was another Subaru in all fir good cause. And in exchange a really cute burlap goodie bag filled w treats! I'd like to see next years event have more people working parking and admission to cut down on wait and be more organized. There were many vendors represented and lots of rescue organizations which was great to see several no. Profits operating some food vendors: pizza, hot dogs even doggie ice cream. Was a great chance to meet some new dog centered providers that I didn't know about and might need . The best part was we got to reconnect with the group that brought us our rescue dogs. That's what the day was about. Making new friends and sharing our love of dogs!

We were then offered a verbal history of Jell-O, which was entertaining and informative. The displays are very interesting to look at for both kids and adults. There's flavors, artwork from the ads, molds, factory artifacts, a giraffe, and much more! It took us 20 minutes to get through. There's also a small gift shop. When you're done, definitely go downstairs to check out the exhibit by the Le Roy Historical Society. Details: - Admission is $4.50 for adults - Parking: look for the sign at the driveway. Pull in and you'll find parking right next to the building. - The Jell-O museum is part of the Le Roy historical society. They also maintain the lower floor which featured an interesting transportation visit while we were there.

I came out to Knox for the Borderland Music Festival. Now I know it's completely different when…read morethere is something happening but I had to talk about the beauty of this park. First off, I feel like the walking trails here are nice. More markers would be cool, but I like the ease of the trails. They have a dog park too which is great. I can't wait to come back with my pup before the snow and have her run around too. Everything is very open which makes it even more awe-inspiring and beautiful on a summer day. I also love all of the old architecture here too with the old stables, main house, etc. It really feels like a different place when you step foot on property. LIke being transported through time almost. The music festival was awesome here. I think the lay of the land, the older buildings, and the beauty of the park really amplify the event and make it feel even better than other possible locations in the area. I will definitely be back to visit the park, and back for the music festival.
