I've had nothing but good experiences with Meritrust in securing a fair and fast auto loan. They are quick, efficient and I always felt they were on my side in helping me get the best rate and explaining my options. I've done two auto loans through them so far because of this exceptional service. read more

This is absolutely the worst credit union I have ever had. Hopefully, today was my last visit. I pulled my money. They are in the middle of a merger that has already lasted two years and they say will take another year to complete. We are former Premier Member Credit Union members. My husband has banked with them for decades. This merger is a disaster. Every time we go to the Manhattan, KS branch, it feels like we are applying for a mortgage just to withdraw funds, deposit checks or do any basic banking. It is awful! Go somewhere else! read more

I bought a car in May. Got a loan for private seller. I did not have any issues with title or other paperwork. I'm still waiting for Meritrust to complete the title work so I can put plates on the car. DO NOT GET A CAR LOAN WITH THIS BANK. My temp tag will expire next week and the DMV will not extend my temp tag again. I have called multiple times, asked to speak to a supervisor and I have not been able to. When I have called I have been told to wait for a response that sometimes takes days or met with a condescending customer service person. read more

The interest rate for my used Ram was very good compared to others. I have a 5% loan for a 4yr old Truck. Their website is easy to navigate and you can make "Principle Only" payments also which was very important to me read more

They took over Premier Members Credit Union and they didn't honor their agreement. I was with Premier for 20 years. Now they started talking money from my account that I didn't authorize. Don't bank with these people. You have been warned!!! read more

RUN! I have only been with Meritrust for 3 months and it's been awful. The website is not user friendly and neither is the staff, but no surprise as they have 2 stars. PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS! read more

Meritrust Credit Union - Thanks Meritrust! - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - Wichita, Kansas

Pardon my language, but Meritrust totally sucks in every conceivable way. Nothing positive to say about it. They recently bought out my great credit union (Premier) and ruined it. They operate out of little hole-in-the-wall joints in strip malls now, and their "office" would barely hold a full-sized car! I dumped them and moved all of my accounts to a real bank (Chase) that isn't going to be sold out to incompetent, greedy hacks and I couldn't be more satisfied. I'm done with the credit union s**t-show for good. Screw that. Enough BS is enough! read more

I wish I could leave less stars. BEWARE of this credit union. The level of communication is abysmal, the attitude from the majority of the staff is wretched and the hidden fees and finance charges are extortionary. They will shut down your account, repossess you vehicle, compound debt, ruin your credit, and treat you like a villain. Please use ANYONE else! Do not make the same mistake we did! read more

Wish I could do 0 stars they are the worst bank I had dealt with.. requested a payoff amount which I made the same day.. call in a month later to find out the status of my vehicle title only to find out that they had send the money to a different account and they charge me $250 dollars more in interest rates.. WILL NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS INSTITUTION AGAIN. Their name is a joke for the way they act. read more

They are a fraudulent company that will falsely charge your account without providing proof of payment. Their customer service reps steal your info and then won't respond. read more

Good luck talking to anyone when you try to call. I received a letter 2 weeks ago from them I needed to close an account (that THEY had opened when I got a loan through them 5 years prior, the loan has been paid off for over 5 months). I did not open the account or ask for this account. I called and tried to talk to customer service. The first time I waited over an hour. The next 5 times I waited at least 30 minutes, gave up and used their automated call back service. Never received a callback. Meritrust has horrible customer service, and needs to take care of these accounts when you pay off the loan! read more

Meritrust needs to change the name because they cannot be trusted with your money. Customer service is terrible. just hasn't been one instance but multiple. from not paying property taxes to just giving out poor information, they're not a trusted place of business. read more

This place lets transactions go through so they can take $29. Overdraft fees out. They have definitely took advantage of me. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Do not waste your time or money with this company, I paid off my loan in March ($15,000+)but apparently they put it into a savings account that I didn't know existed and I missed a phone call and the interest accumulated over the last 20 days. They didn't try to call me back. They only called me one time in 20 days. Not only did I get a text saying I was past due on a payment, I had to pay an extra $102 in interest that I should've never accumulated. Anytime you call this place you're on hold forever. There's no forgiveness on anything even when you're doing the right thing and paying your loan off. I would like to affect this business by 2% by having you move onto a better company. If you just lost $102 for absolutely no reason I would like these people to lose at least $20,000 for the mistake they made with me. I know it seems petty but companies these days need to get a reality check once in a while. read more

If I could leave one star I would!! This is the worst bank I have ever been with. I thought that it would get better the longer I been with them but it has continued to get worse. Hope you dnt need a loan unless you got an 800 credit score. I can't stand these entitled ppl oh and they are merging with a bigger company so it's just going to get worse.. read more

I would avoid this company. I took out a car loan and fell a bit behind. Times are tough. I called Meritrust to try to find a solution. I thought maybe they would work with me by waiving late fees or cutting the interest rate, so my payments would be a bit smaller. They didn't. What they did was recommend that I get a second job through the holiday period. This what Meritrust calls customer service. They threatened repossession and said I should get a second job. I've never felt so insulted in my life! The representative spoke to me as if I were a child. I'll never be happier than the day I finally pay this loan off and get away from this predatory lender disguising themselves as a credit union. read more

I don't bank here, but if I did I probably been really rude to the idiot at the door lecturing me on COVID and how I should go outside to their ITM to deposit a check into my daughters account who had moved out of state. Meritrust continually says they will do something, but never actually does it. They call you after hours to tell you you're late on a payment when you've tried 4 times to get the paperwork you need to make a payment. Each time, they say they've taken care of the "glitch" and the paperwork is on its way, but then a month goes by and they call again to complain that you're late. Either it's terrible customer service, or they need a better IT infrastructure... Either way it's unacceptable. read more

Every Meritrust location is clean and secure, but their customer service is fantastic. I called Meritrust Customer Service about an issue with my account. I have been a member with Meritrust Credit Union member for over 20 years. Today as a member and devoted christian I severely devastated and disappointed when I reached out to Meritrust Credit Union for help. I called this bank pleading for an additional $4000 approval line of credit in order to help a neighbor of mine who is a single mother with a seven year old child not be evicted from their home. As all banks do they looked at my income to debt ratio. I am currently going through a divorce and explained what debts are truely I am accountable for which would be in total just under $10k with my current job that pays $20/hour. They were concentrated that my current $3k line of credit with them was maxed out which was due to my divorce. I have never missed a payment with them for my entire membership with this bank. Including two auto loans that I have successfully paid in full during these years. I gave them full discloser of the situation of myself and this family in need which was critical on a time basis of eviction. Nonetheless, this bank without empathy gave me denial as I brought this plea to top of management. I will be focusing my efforts to pay my debts towards this bank so I may close my accounts. This disappointment was hard to handle and just hope that if someone out there reading this review will know that although we believe this started as a small community bank. It does not hold any family values as lender. They will hold your money, but will not help you in your time of need. My mattress can provide more support and security than Meritrust Credit Union. read more

I've already left a review when I initially signed up here but I have to leave another. I recently had a very LARGE check from a client and I made it known to Zachary Bailey, the person that helped me, that I wasn't sure about it's legitimacy. He personally handled the entire situation and kept me up to speed the entire time. He watched the verification process, emailed me with notifications. He even waived the fee of removing the bad check when it did bounce. I was terrified of the situation and he totally handled it for me. Not sure what I would have done without him! Nothing but good things to say about this location. read more
