I recently got banged over by some horrible strain of flu that will probably soon be named after some farm animal and an FBI master code. All I knew was that I was sick, and my Manager promptly sent me home, not wanting my germs to get too comfortable at work. (Unlikely if they are mine.) Anyway, moving on swiftly, I needed drugs. My regular doctor was on leave, so they booked me in with a temp, sweet old lady who sent me home with Smarties and some red cold drink. Which part about drugs did she not understand? So I duly returned the next day, feeling like Sh*t, and demanding antibiotics. This time I got what I wanted, and was back on my feet in a couple of days' time. The extra trip irritated me a bit, as did the inability of the female doctor to notice the extreme horribleness (Yes it's a word) of man flu. But in general I was happy with the service I received, so I'm not complaining too much.

Very shortly thereafter, Dr Ruoh Sim saw me. Even though it was the end of his shift, he heard me out on ALL my concerns and provided a solution for each one. I received a breathing treatment in the office, and the doctor gave me prescriptions before I left the office. Visit was 1 hour in total that included roughly 45 minutes of treatment time. Note: I am traveling from overseas, paid out of pocket, and had a flight scheduled for the following day. Dr Ruoh treated me with all of these factors in mind. Professional, kind, and thorough.

Literally, I have been coming here…read moresince I was a screaming baby in the night.It was only relatively recently that it moved down the road into a much flashier, much bigger, much more modern space. But the great thing is that the service and the faces are just as friendly and sympathetic. These ladies are lovely, they're like mums - which is great when you;re not feeling good and all you want is a mum hug. If you're in a lot of pain, they send you straight through and the communication is really good which is super important. If i'm in pain I wanna know how long I have to wait. No matter what time of the day or night you turn up, they'll take care of you. I have had nothing but good experiences here, obviously apart from the reasons that I was here in the first place.

I visited Sunny nook Medical Centre few days ago. Dr Rekha was so good. She was spot on my…read morediagnosis. Before that I went to see another doctor in Glenfield. I went 4 times in 3 weeks. I was not given any medicine and the Dr felt I was super conscious. However Dr Rekha was so professional, considerate, so compassionate and so friendly. She spend a lot of time listening to me and asking question to find out the problem. I will recommend every one to go and see Dr Rekha. She is awesome.

Suffice to say, it is a welcoming place, the staff here are super friendly and I especially love the helpers who meet you at the reception area and deliver you through the warren to your place of appointment. I particularly like the days when I am visiting and the mini market is operating on the ground floor. There is an array of items for sale for reasonable prices like knitting, baking and even small plants. The cafe is adequate on days that the wait is long we pop in here for refueling. Of course the pharmacy on site is super convenient as prescriptions can be filled as you leave the hospital, unlike the counterpart hospital in Henderson.

Absolute SHIT SHOW…read more last week I had appendicitis. The doctor originally, and I quote, said "the story for appendicitis doesn't sound convincing to me, I doubt it's appendicitis"..... 12 hours later? You have appendicitis.. like okay! Great! A diagnosis for my pain! That's what i'm supposed to think right? my surgery was then delayed an entire 3 days where I stayed in the surgery prep ward forced to at this point starve because I was constantly told to fast and "oh you'll be having the surgery today/soon!" Now I'm back a mere 6 days later after post op, I have almost identical pain and issues as to when I originally had appendicitis, what do they do in the first 24hrs? Absolutely NOTHING. I came through the ED, was told within an hour (for once I got to see the doctor fast - come at 7-8am or else you'll be waiting a minimum of 5hours) that I needed to get a CT scan done and that it should take 1-2hours. I was like "Great!".... then the ENTIRE day, I get told by the doctors yea yea well do the ct scan, only to then do ABSOLUTELY NO TESTS ALL DAY - not an ultrasound, nothing - make me fast ALL DAY and then decide not to do the CT scan at all at 7pm after I specifically told them id rather do it and go home if nothings wrong than waste a night here for you to not do it at all. 12 hours of being there for absolutely NOTHING because they refuse to get tests done to prove things or diagnose you. They'll have an idea (based off almost nothing) of what your issue might be caused by and then they'll STICK WITH IT WITH NO PROOF. Never ever go to north shore hospital. I've NEVER had any good times here. Unless you have a broken bone or are bleeding you will NOT BE SEEN.
