The room was nicely decorated, like a modern cabin vibe. In fact the hotel being next to the Alpenpark (indoor skiing) resembles a skiing resort in the mountains. There are places to eat , ski store and mini golf in hotel. Also an entrance to the Alpenpark right there in the second floor. You can see the slope and lifts from different areas in the hotel, super nice to keep an eye on kids. Next morning we tried and enjoyed the breakfast buffet, I would recommend.

The rooms are spacious with a good bed and pillows. The room was clean and comfortable. The building is clean and the breakfast is also ok. Over all value for money is quite ok. Wifi works reasonably well and is free. It's a place I picked based on the fact that most of the normal hotels we use were fully booked due to a trade fair happening at the Messe !! The breakfast is good but not amazing, I would have liked to see more fresh fruit options, but they cover all the basics. Where the Mercure falls short is in its age, maintenance and cleanliness. The first thing I noticed was visible gaps between my room door and its frame. Then upon entering the room there was a stain on the bed and scuffed, dirty walls. Personally, I expected that a hotel that bills itself as 4 stars (which is even on a plaque outside the front door) would feel a bit fancier than it does. It feels a bit more like a budget hotel with amazing staff. TL:DR - Clearly past its prime this hotel needs a facelift

The only negative was the good 20 minutes it takes to walk to the tram. Taxis are the only practical method of getting to and from the hotel.
