So the next day we decided to check it out. This place blew us away. The modern architecture is stunning with different levels, and there is even a fireplace. There is also a room dedicated just for magazines with the most current issues. If you like movies the library has an impressive selection of DVDs. Even their restrooms have fancy Dyson faucets. There is a cafe as well. One of the upper levels offers a nice outdoor patio balcony. Good to see the tax dollars going back to the community. No matter how old you are, go get yourself a library card. There is a parking garage nearby. It's a great way to spend the day reading a book or two.

The library is always clean and well organized. You have access to the books, DVDs, CDs, magazines etc. from any of the library in the county system. I saw a newly added cell towers directly across the library and the water tank is located back of the library has cell towers. In case you don't know much about cell towers, please do yourself and your family a favor and research. Research: the health effects of cell towers in adults and children, microwave radiations, dirty electricity, long term effects of WIFI in your home and public places, what is 5G doing to your body and EMF from smart meters. I was here to donate some books. First they did not accept…read moreas they had been overflowed of donations, then I showed them books, then they accepted after evaluation. English literature they have stopped accepting books donation, and foreign language literatures, they would have to check, but most likely they won't accept. Be sure the foreign language books are educational and in mint condition. Inside the library was smaller than I thought, but it was cozy in each floor. Although the library is overall very quiet, I couldn't find an empty study room, during Summer vacation, and in the morning! Glad to see our younger generations still read and study!! Not only no study room available, but all seatings are occupied. Mix feeling ... I wonder how's it like during weekends. I decided to walk around before I left the library. There was an undone puzzles spread on the public table. Very cute and welcoming. The staffs are friendly and attentive.

Maybe David Lee Roth found them hot (or was he hot for teacher, I can't remember) but Diamond Dave was never in Nanuet, New York during the Ford administration when these stoic sentinels were more like Edsels. Trust me, in the days before Al Gore invented the internet, the library was a place you wanted to spend as little time in as humanly possible so you could rush back to the mall and do absolutely nothing. Fast forward to Plainsboro, New Jersey present day and the Plainsboro Public Library is a place built for comfort and social gathering. In fact, given the Stepford-like visage of the surrounding village, it seems to be the only place in this silent burb where life occurs in real time. Bright, spacious and full of hang out seating, plugs for your laptop and multiple rows of desktop PC's, the PPL is a fantastic place to hunker down on a project, job search, college hunt or just catch up on an endless assortment of newspapers and periodicals. Personally, I enjoy their wide-ranging selection of DVDs and CDs. And the staff (now Library Scientists) couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The Plainsboro Public Library - no card catalog, mold spores or fussbudget crones to make your visit a living hell. A very casual five stars. Hanging out in Stepford, New Jersey never felt so good. I haven't tried to check-out Dr. Suess lately but hopefully that little cancel culture sideshow is not going to be fodder for my next review. It's a great place to study or to just chill in a quiet and comfy environment. The books and shelves are arranged well and they have a cool display of current/popular books. They have computers to find your books and they have general use computers. They have a large selection of movies to rent, CDs, some video games, and some comics and graphic novels. There's even a section to buy bargain books and usually some free advance copy or trade books lying around. The librarians are friendly, there's a few tables to read or do work at, and they have late hours at the beginning of the week. Overall, this library is small but resourceful.

What an awesome small community library! The staff is fantastic and was great about explaining some…read moreof their programs I wasn't familiar with via phone. The building is an old church with amazing architecture and beautiful stained glass windows. The wrought iron accents were donated to the library and add to its character. There is a small parking lot and limited street parking due to construction. The library offers story time and craft activities for children including an upcoming Halloween experience. There is a book club for adults which I've included in my photos. In addition to books, you can borrow DVDs and audio books. There is also a nice sized collection larger print books. You can also use the online library to borrow digital books and audio books. You can put in a reserve or hold request for materials currently on loan if they aren't available. The library also ships and receives books from other Bucks county libraries if a request is submitted. The library offers a lot of services that would be unexpected to most! The biggest surprise to me was the seed share program! The details are in my photos. There are also over 25 museum free passes that you can borrow. These can be reserved but must be picked up in person. You also must have your physical library card to pick up passes.
