i love this library and i've come here since i was a kid…read more they have a bunch of video games for switch, ps5, xbox, and ps4. when i was a kid they had wii games i'd rent they have a lot of different stuff even more niche stuff like a bunch of manga series and more they have an event calendar for different events at the library for stuff like interactive programs, stuff for black history month, themed activities like learning different art skills and crafts, stuff for pride month, etc. i've never been to any of the events but there's a bunch you can go to. they just added a "sensory space" which is a room upstairs you can fidget around and lay around in and it's pretty cool, the downside is a staff member has to stand in the room while you're in there to make sure nothing goes wrong which is awkward, so i don't go in. the teen section is nice i just wish they didnt get rid of the couch they have dvds, movies, all stuff like that you can rent being able to use the computers and printers is cool, and they just added a kiosk thing recently where you can check out a macbook air or a windows laptop by using your library card which is really cool if you wanna use a laptop. the worst part, which isn't the library's fault; every single time i've ever come in here, which is dozens and dozens of times over my whole life, there is ALWAYS a kid screaming and crying. every time i come, eventually while i'm there some kid starts having a meltdown while their parents let them and it's obnoxious, and the staff does nothing about it. if you actually need to study that might make it hard, but it's usually only one kid and they're usually downstairs in the kid area away from the study/work areas upstairs so at least you can tune it out.

It's worth checking out if you are a Springsteen fan. This library is not the most quiet. The fact that it is on the main street and it is a bit drafty, you must understand it is an old building. "Classic Carnegie" architectural style. Within these walls, there are copiers, public computers, newspapers and magazines, and storytime for children of all ages. The staff are nothing short of helpful and will give you the welcoming feel as they chit chat with you. The building is an old church with amazing architecture and beautiful stained glass windows. The wrought iron accents were donated to the library and add to its character. There is a small parking lot and limited street parking due to construction. The library offers story time and craft activities for children including an upcoming Halloween experience. There is a book club for adults which I've included in my photos. In addition to books, you can borrow DVDs and audio books. There is also a nice sized collection larger print books. You can also use the online library to borrow digital books and audio books. You can put in a reserve or hold request for materials currently on loan if they aren't available. The library also ships and receives books from other Bucks county libraries if a request is submitted. The library offers a lot of services that would be unexpected to most! The biggest surprise to me was the seed share program! The details are in my photos. There are also over 25 museum free passes that you can borrow. These can be reserved but must be picked up in person. You also must have your physical library card to pick up passes.

$3.90 later I can say this library is A-okay. It was my own fault that I recevied a fee because I…read morereturned the books late. However, I was very happy with the selection of professional books and audio books. This branch reminds me of a grade school library in its appearance, ambiance and size. There are study areas, a community board and multiple reference computers. (Standard things) They have an online system that is linked to neighboring branches, and that expands the selection of books available to everyone. There is really not too much to say about this library but I do wish the lighting wasn't so dim. I used the cherry hill public library before I moved here and that location is certainly more modern. Its a nice branch, I see a lot of people having study sessions, parents brining their children and postings of local community activities. This location is a short distance from the princeton junction station and very easy to find.

Okay, I came here to find the time my local library closes and read some really bad reviews so I…read morehad to chime in. First, lets remember that this is a public library, not a co-share office space that needs superior Wi-Fi. Its main purpose should be to cater to the local students whether your a baby or an adult. The library runs many programs that all ages can participate in. The library has sincerely nice people working here. I've never had to ask them about specific books because they can be looked up in the index, something that most elementary students learn and should know how to use. They have a wide selection of books. My kids of 8 and 10 spent hours picking out books. They have a decent selection of films, a small but appreciated selection of art books and lots of areas where kids come to get tutored and do their homework. Someone compared this library to the one in Princeton but that's really unfair. The library in Princeton has 1,000$ Louis Poulsen Lighting in the Kids section and original knoll chairs for their furniture. They have video games for rental and miles of books that can pretty much match most libraries in this country. Most local libraries will fall short in comparison. I've spent summers going to the Manhattan Library everyday; the big one and the little one. This library is perfect for this community and is a pleasure to visit on a daily basis. I just don't see the logic in out-of-town visitors, inclined to give a local library a bad review.

We all too often take these…read morewonderfully invaluable resources for granted: whether it's "out of sight, out of mind," or "hey, libraries have always been there, they're not going anywhere." Having lived in half a dozen other states let me tell ya: NJ has some great libraries. We all bitch and moan about taxes, isn't it great to know there's a tangible community asset provided in return for said monies? We're in some dystopian times, so it's refreshing (even comforting) to be reminded that one of society's great equalizers remains available for all to access. As far as COVID logistics: books can be reserved online and "contactless" pickup can also be scheduled there. As an older millennial, I went hybrid by reserving my book online and once an email informed me it was available, I called and spoke to an actual living, friendly human who proceeded to reserve a 15 minute time slot for my pick up. The librarian assigned me the number "2." To pick up, simply head to the rear of the building where you'll encounter a table under the portico. Here, you'll find your requested book (with your name affixed) next to the number 1, 2, or 3. Its location will correspond with the number provided by either the website or the friendly librarian via telephone during the final step of the reservation process. Upon leaving, a librarian came out and actually thanked ME. This felt a bit strange for a multitude of reasons. Rather than an entitled "hey, I'm a taxpayer," I thanked her in return. After all without free and fair dissemination of knowledge and truth, where would we be? That is something I hope to never find out.
