I was nervous due to the reviews on this page, and I was ready to have a horrible experience. However, I would come back here again. Literally the most incompetent group of people I've ever been to. My first time and my last! Usually it's either the front desk or the back, unfortunately here, it's both! No communication with each other, to busy taking about personal issues, and they have no interest in their job. I told them four times I wear a partial (tooth) and they ignored me. I finally had to stop them, take it out of my mouth in front if them and ask where I could put it. He looked at it and said, "oh you should have said you had a partial". Are you kidding me! I was told to wait in the lobby for a copy of my MRI. I waited 35 minutes and watched the front desk drink her coffee, stretch, chat with a guy from the back about the weekend when I finally walked up and asked if it was ready and she asked me what I was talking about. I explained to her that I have requested a copy of the MRI on disc to take with me and she said "who told you you could have one". When I told her I requested it when I checked in and it was actually her who checked me in, I also reminded the staff after the MRI, they pointed me up front and said to let them know. She literally rolled her eyes and turned away from me and said "coming up". She pushed away from her computer and I just sat down. It took her another 30 minutes just to get the disk ready. The people at the front desk do not acknowledge you and when they do they are rude. They are too busy visiting with each other.

If you're pregnant and getting a ultrasound?? ask your doctor to refer you somewhere else if you want the father to be included!! They have policies were reverting back to the 60s where the father is not involved and ask you to stay in the waiting room during ultrasound.... they do let you come in for a minute at the end. The people that work here think they're gods gift to medical imagery. They're extremely rude, full of excuses, and little to know management oversight. Their communication skills are non existent. I really don't understand how they are still in business because this is not my first time here but I would rather drive an hour out of my way to go somewhere else than come here again. This will be my last time coming, I'll be sure to let my doctor know to stop referring people here or at least request for myself to be referred elsewhere. Horrible. read more

I offered to take a loved one to get x-rays done at this establishment. Their appointment was scheduled for 7:15pm, and he wasn't seen until 9:04pm and we didn't leave until 9:35pm. Keep in mind the business closes at 9pm. I think this is ver unprofessional & they overbooked too many clients preventing individuals from being seen in a timely manner and being seen with dignity. read more

Either completely incompetent or too busy do anything that they are actually supposed to do. I called to ask about the wait and was told "There is no wait. Come on by after lunch though". Ok, so I go after lunch and was told there one person in front of me for an xray. I waited almost an hour then went back up to the counter. Apparently they had filed my paperwork somewhere and forgot about me. I was also told that they would send the results to my doctor. Two weeks later, my doctor still has no idea that I had even had an xray so I call to see what's up. Someone picks up the phone and says "give me a minute" then puts me on hold. While on hold 2 more people pick up the phone and say "how can I help you"? to which I say someone is already helping me. Literally twelve minutes later someone comes back and says "the person that is helping you is busy with someone else so I can help you?" Really??? I realize that the standard for customer service is really low in Merced in general but come on. read more

I am from the Bay Area. Have lived here in Merced for only one year. Was sent here for a mammogram. This is the most inefficient place I have ever been to. They explained NOTHING to me after my mammogram was done. Then I received a letter stating I need another mammogram and an ultrasound. After I had that done they sent me a letter saying a biopsy is recommended. I was already aware that I had calcifications in my right breast because of having mammograms done in the Bay Area. I signed a release form so that Merced could obtain my prior mammogram images from the Bay Area and do a comparision before I agree to a biopsy. I kept calling Merced Imaging asking had they received my mammograms from the Bay Area and they said no, that the Bay Area facility was not cooperating. I called up the Bay Area facility myself and they told me that my images had been sent out 3 weeks before!!! I call back Merced Imaging and told them what had been told to me, and they ask ME for the phone number there so that they could call there themselves!! Don't EVER go here to Merced Imaging. This is the most inept facility I have ever been to!! read more

DMV of imaging centers. They don't take appointments for X-rays here, X-Ray walk ins are from 9:30-4 . The problem is they're always packed; your approximate wait time is over 2 hours . I had to come on two different occasions because there was no way I was going to wait any longer than that and I had to return to work . The second time I left to run some errands to kill some time and upon my return I asked what the wait time was then and to my surprise the wait time hadn't changed at all . I asked for my order form and immediately called my HMO asked them if I could go see their on site imaging center and was seen within 10 minutes ! I was just mad at myself for not thinking about that the first time around . I would not return to this establishment nor would I recommend anyone else to. My brother had terrible experience with his MRI's results too. Once getting them done he assumed genus be sent to his doctors office but they weren't . He was constantly having to call to see if they could send them over, the worst part is everyone he called he got a new person on the phone that was clueless or would misinform him . Literally these girls put no effort into trying to resolve the situation . Final I spoke to " Koi" , she was the only competent staff member up front who actually was able to give me a straight answer and even followed up with me . Wish all their staff members were like her . Save your money and time , don't go here . read more

Had to have a MRI scan done and had it scheduled at Merced Open Imaging. They provided services that were the best from front desk staff and the technical staff. There was a very short waiting period in the waiting room, less than ten minutes and less than five minutes in the back area changing room. The tech was very supportive and caring during the procedure and after care. Great patient care! read more

While the imaging is good, the bookkeeper is one of the rudest people i have ever had to deal with. Even Blue Cross said this woman deserves to lose her job. She needs to never deal with people. When you get pre-approval from your insurance, and they agree to accept what insurance will pay, they will try to bill you for what your insurance will not cover. Even though they have agreed to accept that as payment. Very rude. read more
