I've been meaning to try the Mercato Italiano for months, and it certainly didn't disappoint! After a bit of a wait for a table, we were seated. The staff was super quick to take our orders and get us our drinks and food, too.
Between us we had Aperol spritzes (how could we pass up the chance), an Italian beer, and burrata to start. The burrata comes with tomatoes (I don't eat tomatoes but I'm told these are delicious) and arugula, and you can order bread as an extra. Don't miss the bread! I never miss bread as a rule of life.
Then, the mains: tortellini with ragú and pumpkin truffle lasagna. The lasagna is mouth-wateringly delicious, a huge portion melting over the plate with truffle interspersed. I only had a bite of the tortellini, but the ragú was very tasty.
