We flew into Milan and wanted a quick dinner as soon as we arrived at the train station, so we tried La Pizzeria del Mercato Centrale Milano. There are tons of options at this food hall, but a Margherita Pizza was calling our names. It was a great start to the trip as all the ingredients were so fresh, especially the dough. It was baked to perfection as you could taste the coal-fired oven difference, and they gave a generous amount of mozzarella. It was just lacking a little sauce but otherwise a delicious pizza overall!

Another great market located near the central train station in Milan. Each of these central markets have categories of types of Italian foods - pasta, pizza, sandwiches, truffles, bread etc. At the end of the giant hallway of food options, there was a place for pasta and pizza and what looked like Calzones. I spoke with the server and ordered something on the menu, asking him what this is and if it's like a sandwich and he said yes. Unfortunately when it came out, it was actually a pizza. I clarified that I wanted to order a calzone actually and he said oh sorry, next time you come you can try. That was unfortunate and not that this expected, but typically the meal would be comped or they would take back the pizza and remake for the actual order. That didn't happen here and to expect that I'll come back after you got my order wrong is ridiculous. The pizza was actually pretty good, it was topped with ricotta cheese and pretty heavy but very delicious. There were tables all around with silverware and thankfully no cover charge (I think this is a benefit of eating at the Mercato Centrale) I wish the service was a little more gracious then I would have actually returned to try the calzone.

The setting is super cool; a market with multiple food stands. A great variety of food, the quality however is medium, we tried some type of beef schnitzel with sautéed potatoes, it was ok. The experience is still worth it though, I would go back and try other stands food.

A nice food court inside Milan central station whether to hang out or to enjoy the food/drink while waiting for your train ride. A lot of selection on foods and drinks. Focaccia check, sweet or savory snacks check, pizza check, spaghetti check, seafood check, steak check, espresso check, cappuccino check, spritz check, wine/beer check check check. Lovely place.

Forget the typical Italian hours to eat, come here at anytime and get your food and drink on.

Amazing market located below the Milano Centrale station. They have a collection of vendors from cafes and bars to delis, pizza, sushi, bakeries, and classic Italian food. You can grab items you'd like to-go or for dine-in. There are tables scattered around the building to eat at and if the table has a QR code then you can order additional drinks for service to your table. Great location and variety of food to visit after your train or while you wait!

I knew immediately upon our trains arrival into the Neo-classical masterpiece that its the Milano Centrale Train station that Milan would be joining the top ranks of my list of personal favorite world cities. That feeling was only further compounded once we made our way into this magnificent food hall/marketplace located within it. Now don't write me off as yet another cliche, raging self-hating American-in-Europe. While I certainly love to indulge in that on most any occasion, I will note that we do have some wonderful central markets in or adjacent to central stations back home. Grand Central food halls in both NYC and LA, and Reading Terminal Market in Philly and the like are surely all no slouches but I would have to say this one puts them all to shame. On our famished arrival we had a massive and varied lunch. We feasted on a variety of different regional Italian offerings including a solid and bracingly fresh spaghetti vongole with freshly shucked to order clams from the restaurant adjoining the fish mongers stall, some lovely focaccia-like square pizza with fresh veggie toppings from an apparently very popular bakery which also served some mighty temping looking overstuffed paninis, and some massive,Sicilian style arancini and cream filled bomboloni. We left not surprisingly blissfully stuffed. On subsequent trips in and out of the station I took advantage of some of the deeper cuts of the markets offerings, which provide a wonderful variety of offerings that no doubt check many boxes off the wishlists of many weary and worldly travelers, like crucially for me a classic green-juice operation that provided me a very useful healthy and cleansing liquid breakfast on my way to a gluttonous trip of indulgent gorging in the food-mecca of Bologna. Veering further from the more classic Italian offerings proved somewhat of a mixed bag however, with a really sub par Chinese shrimp dumpling I got from the stall there being probably the only really bad thing I had in Milan. There's definitely a lot of really great Chinese-food to be found in this town, both within and outside of its relatively large and extremely vibrant Chinatown, this however is not it. A sushi stall looked similarly suspect. If you want to be a real little thrifty sneak you can lurk around and make a very filling snack/small meal by simply mooching off the many free samples on offer, which led me to sample some of the most traditionally local Milano offerings of a thick and crispy Milanese veal cutlet from the butcher shop and some rich and decadent Milanese style saffron risotto from another operator. Was sad to leave the pull out of this magnificent station when leaving the city on our way to the airport home, looking forward very much for my next chance to roll in here again and grab some more food and fun at the market.

This is an interesting mixture of different restaurants/stalls. If you cannot find places to sit down on the first floor I recommend you look upstairs. There are some common tables and their are tables that you can sit only if you eat in the particular restaurants. They sometimes offer small taste bits to lure you into their restaurant. The seafood one on the first floor is so so. I think the fried shrimp and calamari rings are too salty and Iiked the shrimp better than the calamari rings. Also if they had some seafood sauce it would have tasted better. As for the beef stomach lampredotto place on 2nd floor is also so so because ironically it's too soft and lost the texture what makes beef stomach delicious. The food is slightly expensive for what you get and service is basically nonexistent but who needs service if you are coming here?

Atmosphere- pizzeria inside a more retro chic (that Philadelphia station market) Location - next to train station Vibe - big food and beverage market like swanky food court Seating - maybe capacity of 25-30 Food - I had the pizza and it was average but very fresh and made to order the taste was a little bland but THAT crust was special Now if they had garlic powder or garlic salt that would have kicked it up But when I asked the guy about garlic .... He seemed insulted ‍ Hello Italy

Great place to grab food if you're stuck in Centrale! Lots of food options spanning from basic Italian breakfast to even my fave which is a juice shop that makes amazing avo toast! The upper level has ample seating for coworking with outlets! Perfect for the remote worker, or if you have a long wait while traveling. It can be hard to find a calm place in Centrale, and this comes pretty close!

Loved this place! It's pretty much a Food Hall and features all types of restaurants. I ate some carbonara that was beyond delicious! Had fried chicken and it was seasoned well! Desserts were also yummy!

Mercato Centrale! So nice, we ate here twice! Great service, really amazing selection of food & wine , and all for a good price. It was also walking distance to our hotel and the train station. Be back soon!

Enjoyed tucking away into a table upstairs, especially with our luggage! Good selection of options - I really enjoyed my pesto gnocchi & focaccia. Looking forward to eating here again and trying something else on my way back to Milan. Good place to pass time waiting for your train and to use the bathroom before you board (of course after purchasing something).
