Review # 700 We saw this market during our tour of Mahon. Despite the subtle exterior, it stood out as we saw a good amount of in/out traffic. We had some free time before the next leg of our tour so we decided to have lunch here arriving around noon on a Friday. Fish market section (left side) has an abundant selection of fresh fish. On the right side, the interior is modern and inviting- they have a few Tapas spots with a dizzying amount of food. Further down there was a wine spot (Cas Torrat.) The walkway loops around and connects to the fresh fish area with outdoor seating in the middle. We got an assortment of Montaditos and Pinchos as well fried Anchovies and Cod Croquette from the first 2 spots (La Faim, Merca Apas). The displays were so enticing we had a hard time choosing and wanted it all! Our Tapas were all amazing! We sat inside as outdoor tables were all taken. They picked up really quickly and were packed by the time we finished around 1. When visiting Mahon, don't miss this gem of a Market that's been around since 1927! read more

There was a large variety of food selections. The tapas were plentiful. So many choices to choose from. But make sure that you eat your food quickly because our food got cold quickly and the flies were very aggressive. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Not far from the coast and it is in the midst of many shops. There's something for everyone here. read more
