We dined here to celebrate our most recent wedding anniversary while staying at Borgo Santo Pietro. The location, ambience, staff and presentation are beyond beautiful. But the taste....we were unimpressed with the palate pleasing part. We're always a bit hesitant to dine at Michelin-rated restaurants because in our experience, it's always either a major hit or miss - nothing in between. And I don't know if it's because there's a pre-conceived expectation going in when the restaurant has been rated that it's easier to be disappointed than wowed. Our definition of great dining may be different from others but for us it's simple: It looks beautiful. But it tastes even better! Meo Modo definitely achieved the former but thoroughly lacked on the latter. read more
