Nice campground, although it only has pit toilets. The beach house with flush toilets and showers is a short drive away. However, that wasn't very clean. "Beer garden" by the lake has poor service and crummy food. Waukesha County park pass is required. On Friday night the park employees drove through the campground with firewood for sale. There is a nice playground by the beach. We weren't able to swim due to high e- coli count. read more

Very fun beach area for little ones. The process to get in was very confusing for the first time. I have never heard of a park you pay to get into. This one has you pay online which was a hassle I would have rather they had a person to pay as it was one thing I had to remember to. Nice place, just annoying you have to pay to go. read more

Clean park and great space to bring my dog to. The park is equipped with two dog exercise areas that include walking paths for both small and large breeds. There is onsite bathrooms and plenty of poop bags throughout. It was clean and a great space to socialize my dog and allow him to run free! read more

We would come here to swim in the clean, spring fed quarry lake with our annual County Park permit to avoid the cost for parking/entrance. We were here a lot as the water was clean and cold for those hot Wisconsin summer days. A 460-acre regional park is located on the west side of Menomonee Falls and Sussex. Back then we would call it Sussex Quarry. The park features a public beach on Lannon Pond (Quarry Lake), 4.5 miles of hiking trails, picnic areas, and reservable campsites. A short drive from Milwaukee, Waukesha or Lake Country area. The lake or pond has a nice beach area with a concession stand. The beach is sectioned off by life guard and is shallow. There is a deep section which requires anyone 15 years and younger to pass a swim test, get a wrist band and then is permitted to swim in the deep drop off area that features a large raft with a diving board. Two life guards are positioned on the raft as well. We came here as a change of pace from other lakes and beaches. It is a great place to relax and soak in the sun as there are no motorized boats. $5 for a day pass or opt for the annual County Park pass which pays it self off with 5 visits to any of the county parks or trails. Beautiful park, and plenty of amenities. I counted three separate dog parks inside the park area...one specifically for smaller dogs. I came here for a pre-camp cook out with my girlfriend. She is the camp nurse for a "special needs" group of kids. The director, counselors, lifeguards, and the rest of the staff are a great professional group! Very friendly and support. They have swimming, boating, grilling, hiking trails, and many places for camping. Family site's available too! Definitely a "must see" if you're in the area. read more

Oh my God , this park is amazing and massive ... it's like a 10 star... it's like a town of itself without businesses, just outdoors entertainment.... easy could loose direction and routes without the signs ... and its actually minutes outside of town , but you wouldn't even know your close to population... there is literally everything to do here ... to name some, a beach, scuba diving, archery, camping , long trails , massive picnic areas , group and family camping and event areas , etc... this park is so beautiful and clean, staff is very friendly and professional... its literally like heaven here, I'm amazed how beautiful it is with all the natural setting and wildlife , just amazing... read more

We took our dog, Tiberius, to the dog park. He's 150 pound St. Bernard so her had to go in there Large breed enclosure. There were no dogs in there, so we hiked around with him on a leash. It's a beautiful Park!! Very clean. I used the bathrooms by the swimming area, they were spotless and smelled really clean. It's an impressive Park. read more

My family had the pleasure of spending a weekend camping her over the summer. It was our first time at this county park and campground. We loved the camp sites. They are semi-private, wooded, and of good size. We really appreciated that the rangers drove around to sell and deliver fire wood directly to the campsites. Our site had a short path that connected to one of the trails, which was awesome. The only downside was the lengthy hike to the showers and flush toilets. We'll definitely return. read more

Close to where we live in Ozaukee County, beautiful rocky shrouded lake and a nice swimming beach area. Group camping area was nice - only complaint was noisy past quiet time with no apparent patrolling to help quiet people down. read more

This is such an awesome and amazing place for families. When we drove up it was nice to see families communing with other families. We had a hard time keeping the kids from running down the hill and diving into the lake. The grounds are very clean and nice. There is plenty of shade trees around which is a plus for me. They have volleyball, swimming, archery, fishing and much more. The restrooms are very clean and they also have showers to clean off after the swim. They have picnic tables and it's only a $4 fee for parking per car. The customer service was very nice which included the guy at the gate and the park staff and rangers. I would definitely recommend this park for any of your family fun and activities. I was told they also have camping sites, but they don't include power outlets that I know of. Very nice park but if you are taking your kids to swim be prepared for A LOT of rules...you can basically wade in the knee deep water and that's about it. My kids weren't really allowed to play anything and my son, that is 3 years old was not allowed to be in the water with his sister, who is 15 years old and has had lifeguard training, because he needed to be in arms reach of an "adult" at all times. Overall:great clean beach but too many rules make it no fun at all. read more

This has to be one of the worst "beaches" I've ever seen, or at least the lifeguards here. My daughter has been swimming proficiently for eight years and is comfortable swimming back and forth for hours in Olympic-sized pools, but the idiot lifeguards at Menomonee Park won't let her swim here because her swim stroke doesn't look close enough to a competitive swimmer's stroke! She's only allowed in the wading section where the water barely covers her knees! I urge everyone to avoid this park and not waste their time or money with them. read more

The lifeguards and rules are over the top, can't enjoy yourself, I get the safety and rules but it just really took away from even having a fun day off work! Do not recommend this beach it was awful will never go back, never ever been to a beach that is so restricted with so many rules! I would give no stars! read more
