Beautiful dog park! There are some walking trails within the park, and everything is completely fenced in, which I appreciate. It always gives me peace of mind knowing my dog can't run away.

Hiking: check Camping: check Beach/Swimming: check Picnic areas: check Volleyball courts: check Family picture back drop: check The park has expanded since I started coming here as a teen in the 80's. We would come here to swim in the clean, spring fed quarry lake with our annual County Park permit to avoid the cost for parking/entrance. We were here a lot as the water was clean and cold for those hot Wisconsin summer days. A 460-acre regional park is located on the west side of Menomonee Falls and Sussex. Back then we would call it Sussex Quarry. The park features a public beach on Lannon Pond (Quarry Lake), 4.5 miles of hiking trails, picnic areas, and reservable campsites. A short drive from Milwaukee, Waukesha or Lake Country area. The lake or pond has a nice beach area with a concession stand. The beach is sectioned off by life guard and is shallow. There is a deep section which requires anyone 15 years and younger to pass a swim test, get a wrist band and then is permitted to swim in the deep drop off area that features a large raft with a diving board. Two life guards are positioned on the raft as well. We came here as a change of pace from other lakes and beaches. It is a great place to relax and soak in the sun as there are no motorized boats. $5 for a day pass or opt for the annual County Park pass which pays it self off with 5 visits to any of the county parks or trails. Actually, I don't want to advertise this too much as I'd rather have the place all to myself!

Oh my God , this park is amazing and massive ... it's like a 10 star... it's like a town of itself without businesses, just outdoors entertainment.... easy could loose direction and routes without the signs ... and its actually minutes outside of town , but you wouldn't even know your close to population... there is literally everything to do here ... to name some, a beach, scuba diving, archery, camping , long trails , massive picnic areas , group and family camping and event areas , etc... this park is so beautiful and clean, staff is very friendly and professional... its literally like heaven here, I'm amazed how beautiful it is with all the natural setting and wildlife , just amazing...

The restrooms are very clean and they also have showers to clean off after the swim.

Lime Kiln Park - A Hidden Gem in Menomonee Falls…read more We took a hike through Lime Kiln Park today and absolutely loved it! Tucked away in Menomonee Falls, this park feels like a peaceful little escape with just the right mix of nature, history, and fresh air. We explored both the upper and lower falls, and the views did not disappoint--especially with the sound of the rushing water and all the lush greenery around us. The trails are paved and easy to follow, which made our walk feel more like a relaxing stroll than a workout. There's something really cool about walking past the historic lime kilns--like you've stepped back in time for a moment. Between the rock formations, bridges, and little scenic spots to pause and take it all in, we found ourselves stopping often just to appreciate the beauty around us. It's the kind of place where you can go for a walk, clear your head, or bring the family for a peaceful afternoon. We even saw a few people playing disc golf and lots of birds hanging out near the water. If you haven't been yet, Lime Kiln Park is totally worth the visit. Bring your walking shoes, your camera, and a little curiosity--you'll leave refreshed and maybe even a bit inspired.

This time I came to test out the full expanse of the water with my paddle board. I came with my brother who had his kayak and fished. He caught a rainbow trout (and released). We stayed on the water for almost 4 hours - the water was nice and clean and it was busy but not crazy. The beach area was definitely a popular busy zone but most the people were in the designated swimming area versus the open lake. Just a great time and will be back! If looking to grab a spot on the dry land I would recommend arriving before 11am- that's when it started filling up more.

Fox Brook has a swimming pond area, a pavilion for the beer garden and a rentable pavilion at Picnic Area 1. I rented out the pavilion for 30+ guests and it has plenty of space, can hold Up to 200. It also has a volleyball net and a cut little loop on the prairie. Lots of migrating birds in the spring! The reservation comes with a fee of course which you can reserve online. There is a $7 fee to enter the park as well and can also be done online. There's a paved trail that loops the swimmable Pond shared with bikers. It's a peaceful place to walk your dog, or by yourself or with friends/family/significant other. There is also a few offshoot unpaved trails that cuts into the trees for a short while to walk along the trees. Pretty decent if you're looking to take a quick walk and enjoy nature or have a meetup and enjoy some beer at the beer garden.

There was basically no signage outside so we just followed the GPS into what looked like private property and through the gates. Inside there was a parking lot and in the short distance a house. We entered the house and really didn't gather any information there. The guy working kinda just wanted to be on his computer. No gift shop, it was kind of bleak. I think they could do more here to promote the place and make money (I assume money couldn't hurt!) There are no walking paths, just grass. You are left to wander aimlessly as you choose through the property so we did. Lots of space between the sculptures so if walking is an issue, this place is not for you. My 13 year old really enjoyed the pond and wildlife. We saw a lot of frogs and a few turtles. I have to say, it's very pretty. But I do wish I had some more information to take home with me about the garden.

The turn in to the garden is tough with high speed traffic behind you, but there is ample parking. The staff inside the welcome center was friendly and there are clean bathrooms inside.
