This year filing self employed, was a major pain in the ass. Thinking I had a good company, to…read morehandle filing 1099, Schedule C. As I have for the last 3 years, with Jackson Hewitt. Wrong, the preparer that did my taxes, severely messed up my taxes. Putting in info not given, as well as claiming farm expenses. I don't have any work with a farm, this was used to add 17000 miles to deductions. How ever I had always, used 6000 miles instead of truck expenses. How ever the preparer besides adding a ridiculous amount, and including farming. Used miles plus truck expenses, not all of my info was entered correctly. Not filing my son as full time student or my government insurance passport. As this is how I received health insurance, for the both of us. At the end of my session, I wasn't allowed to review an . Possibly dispute before filing, I didn't approve them to be sent. However the preparer put them in anyway, I tried speaking to the supervisor. For this area, only to be told the preparer did nothing wrong Besides sending in without my consent, the multiple mistakes made with preparation. The supervisor even went over them , an refused to accept responsibility. Telling me I was only upset, because I paid $875 for preparation. So I only received $725, not at all my problem was with the preparation it's self. Once again refused to amend, as well as customer service. Was absolutely ridiculous, rude , and very unhelpful. I am now going to file with bbb and have my taxes, looked over by a real professional. These people actually said I only made, $8223 for the entire year. That's so far off of my actual earnings, that doesn't even cover my rent. ‍ Just disgustingly disappointed in Jackson Hewitt. Yet now have to pay someone else to file amendment, there's no way I could let this go through the IRS . Without resolving, that's a audit waiting to happen, and the penalties included. Absolutely not taking fault, for Jackson Hewitt ignorance

Would not give a star if it was an option. This place is a complete joke!!! Not only did I have an…read moreissue but my boyfriend and his sister as well!! Ok 1st thing, you are promised a $50 gift card just for filing with them. They conveniently were "out" when we went but would receive 40% off of our filing fees which after discount were still close to $300 smdh. That's not even the beginning. I applied for an advance on my return and was supposed to receive said advance within 48 hours. After 4 days I called and received the runaround. Runaround continued for a week, no one would return my phone calls so finally I had to go up to the office. The bank funding the advances has refused to even work with this sham of a place so I would not receive an advance and my taxes have been sitting in limbo for over a week not even filed!!!! My filing fees were waived and taxes have been filed. Now with my bf. 10 days later his taxes have not even been accepted. No email from IRS, can't track it. Nothing. Now he gets the complete runaround. Managers have no idea what is going on, there's never anyone to talk to and they give a corporate number that is a voicemail. Completely disgusted with our service, will never file with them again and will continue to use turbo tax!!! Just appalled at how our personal information and taxes have been treated.
