Going to funerals are tough, and they are sad, but It's nice to know there are places like this…read morethat take care of you and your loved ones! My parents family buisiness specialized in Funeral Products, So I grew up going to conventions with Caskets and Memorial Books. I also was an Alter Boy who you used to be asked to Serve every Catholic Funeral in Sibley, IA for a good stretch of time.. So I have seen my fair share of funerals. Recently my wife's grandma passed away.. So we headed to Auburn, IN for the funeral. Everything at Feller And Clark was handled beautifully. The rooms were warm and inviting, and the staff was just great! My mother in law and her sister worked with the staff very close to work out the specific arrangements they wanted! They choose a really beautiful re-claimed wood casket and the staff at Feller and Clark even found a dove for them to let go after the final words. It was a beautiful service! I played on a really awesome organ during the service too. So honored to be a part of the funeral! Everything was really smooth, and well put together! Auburn, IN is lucky to have a place like Feller and Clark!

I'm not sure how this place has only five reviews. Someone clearly put a lot of time, money, and…read morecare into building it. The museum is very focused on early Ford V-8 vehicles, but the collection still has a surprising amount of variety. There are beautifully restored coupes and sedans, a bright yellow vintage taxi, a fire truck, exposed engines, old Ford signs, photographs, and other period memorabilia. The vehicles look incredible, with polished chrome, whitewall tires, original-style details, and displays explaining what you are looking at. The building itself is also impressive. The outside has a distinctive Art Deco look, while the inside is clean, bright, spacious, and extremely well maintained. Both the museum and the cars were spotless. Admission costs less than a sandwich, which makes this one of the better-value attractions in the area. Even if you are not a serious Ford expert, it is still worth visiting for the craftsmanship, history, and quality of the collection.

I visited Shelter Ministries Thrift Shop today, and what a disaster. NOTHING had prices on it. I…read moreasked a volunteer about the prices, and she tried to help but said she wasn't sure because she was new. I understand being new, but items should absolutely be priced so customers don't have to guess. Another thing I noticed while looking around is how extremely small the shopping area is. The building itself is huge, and I know the entire layout because I've been there before it became a thrift store and food pantry. It's surprising that such a tiny portion is actually used for the store. Now let's talk about the pricing. Pants are $5.00 each -- for used pants. Shirts and pajamas are $3.00. Kids clothes are $3-$5 depending on what you pick. Socks are $1.00 a pair... for used socks! And then there are the used undergarments. VERY used underwear and bras are $3.00 EACH. Used. Most of them showed extreme wear. That's honestly shocking. The store itself is extremely disorganized. Nothing makes any sense and there is no clear system to how things are arranged. Items are placed everywhere with no rhyme or reason. It's so cramped and packed that only one person can comfortably shop in an area at a time. Another thing that really bothered me: while I was there, four volunteers were going through donated items and setting certain things off to the side that they were planning to take home. So if you donate to this thrift shop thinking everything will go back to the community, just know that some items appear to be getting picked through first. Overall, the place felt chaotic, overpriced for the condition of items, and poorly organized. It really needs better pricing, better organization, and much better use of the large space available.
