I went to Mend Acupuncture for leg and back pain, as well as stress, and had a wonderful experience. They offer community acupuncture on Saturdays for $35, which is an amazing option. I gave this place three tries, and I will say the customer service is really good. I told them about my very first experience that I wasn't happy with it so they offered me to come back, which is really lovely. I will say the front desk person at the Remmington Road location is just a little on the slower side--she makes you wait for a while before checking you in or out and is not always very friendly. I will say this is a very local business and I appreciate the introduction to Accupuncture for the community. They are providing people who have never experienced Accupuncture a community method, but this is the most basic basic basic form of acupuncture, but they are charging premium prices like it's a luxury price for Accupuncture, but I've feel like the accupuncture is here just do the bare minimum. They do ear seeding, which I do appreciate but ultimately the care I get here isn't what I'm looking for. This reminds me of the massage envy of the massage world -- if you find a good practitioner, I think you will love it, but I still haven't found one yet. read more

So this was my first time to the Mend in Remington. I love the Canton location because it is literally around the corner from my house. However, I've had nothing but bad luck when attempting to get a massage there. So here I am. First of all, let's talk about the Remington area itself. It's a whole vibe. It was giving me 'easy like Sunday morning' feels. I can't explain it, but I like it. And that was even before my massage. I couldn't find the entrance (although it's quite easy to find I was just looking in the wrong place) so I called. The woman working the phone was pleasant and told me exactly what I needed to know. Once I arrived she again told me what I needed to know and was very cordial. The seating area is just enough and they have the typical items you would find for sale at (I'm assuming) all of the Mend spaces. The plants could use some love though. I asked about the community and it sounds like an option I'll definitely try in the future. Lets talk about my massage therapist Jason Kim. I must say, he surprised me. I don't want to sound mean when I say this, but he did not give me the 'massage therapist' vibes. I can't tell you what that looks like, but he wasn't giving it. His hands however, told another story. I'm a massage me, but don't hurt me type of client. I don't want to be in pain to feel better. And he did just that! I was SOOOOO relaxed! AND, my feet are thanking him. I was tense in my shoulder & back area, but my feet have always been problematic. He gave them the love they needed. I walked out of there light on my feet and relaxed. The mood is so soft and mellow. Soft music and always playing and always smells good the acupuncture was so relaxing I almost fell asleep on the table. I have friends who go to Mend. I decided to try it. I was in incredible knee pain, shoulder pain, overall aches and my first session with Dr. Dexter Kendrick worked on those things. He read my intake forms well so knew what to ask about for more details. He is a great listener. He explained each thing he was doing and why, and the science behind it. I visited Mend today for a massage to start the new year right! I am new to massages (the only other massage I've had was at a reflexology business - so not full body - chair massage only), and Andrew, the massage therapist who I saw, talked me through everything at the beginning of my session. He made me feel so comfortable, and the massage itself was just what I needed to start 2023. I left relaxed and calm and also more aware of where my body is and what it needs right now! (I took advantage of their current offer: Intro Massage Special - 50 minute massage for $75 for new clients!) The Remington location is really nice (they also have Quarry Lake and Canton locations), and the check-in and -out and text/email reminders were also really great, helpful, and appreciated. The location is really convenient for me (I walked from Hampden), but I think they validate for the garage if you drive to the area (street parking can be a little difficult since it's so near to many of the more popular Remington businesses). Not all locations offer all services (microneedling is offered at Quarry Lake and Canton, but not Remington currently), so check out their website for more information! I would have given Mend 5 stars a year ago, but the customer service there is absolutely terrible. I actually stopped going about two months ago, when I was 15 minutes late for an appointment because of traffic, and I was literally 2 minutes away and on the phone with the person at the front desk and told I was being charged a no show fee. I said, "I am parking in front of Mend right now." She said it did not matter. I asked if there was absolutely no flexibility with a company that makes it's business in trying to make people feel BETTER and LESS STRESSED. She basically shamed me for being stuck in traffic and told me too bad. So I stopped making appointments there. This morning, my checking account got charged over $90 by Mend. No warning at all. Just goes ahead and charges my checking account without my permission for fees not paid by my insurance. This place is a joke. Which is a shame, because the acupuncturists there are great. But the billing and customer service are absolutely awful. I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future. read more

I absolutely LOVE this acupuncture facility! Every acupuncturist is professional, caring, peaceful, and committed! The moment you walk in your senses open up with the gentle aromatherapy that fills the place. Afterwards one of the peace givers (receptionist) will quietly assist you in which ever way you need it! Afterwards you'll wait for your acupuncturist or go to the community room. Once your acupuncturist greets you, you'll be walked to a room and they'll ask you questions and if you're like me you'll just go on and on like they're psychologists lol! Long story short, you should give them a try! I'd highly recommend Dexter! He's amazing and hilarious. Has a great sense of humor and is very well dressed. He has a safe zone, I feel so comfortable telling him anything. So make sure you open up to all of them. read more

I have really great experiences with Mend. I tried both massage therapy and acupuncture and both of my therapists worked really well. The prices are so affordable, they don't try and sell you unnecessary retail items or excessive care options, and the community care practitioner is absolutely wonderful. I just walked out of Community acupuncture when one of the community service officers asked me about my experience there. I proceeded to tell her how big a fan I am of the service and have noticeable results. I have been coming to Mend for a little over two months on a weekly basis, and I didn't want to write a review until I was sure about how I felt about it (since this was a place I receive a service). Well, I can honestly say, I LOVE MEND! My mom has been an acupuncturist for most of my life, so I had no apprehension about going. Kristy is so kind and welcoming, it's hard not to love coming just to chat with her (yes, she's almost become my part time therapist), and she always thoroughly explains what she is working on during the treatment. The warm treatment tables and acupuncture always put me into a deep meditative state (ok, it's a nap), where I awaken refreshed and alive. It's pretty much become the high light of my week. The whole staff seems accommodating and friendly. They checked my insurance for me, to make sure they accept it. Scheduling appointments is easy. Even if you can't afford the one on one sessions, or your insurance doesn't cover acupuncture, I highly recommend going to community. I've stuck my nose in the room in Remington (don't worry, no one was getting treatments) and it's super relaxing looking. I plan to hit a couple sessions with my son, since he is more of a community type. At $25.00, it's a steal! read more

I had a great experience at Mend. The Remington location is great and they validate parking for the garage. The people are really helpful and friendly- Sarah H made me feel comfortable for my first acupuncture session. The was very thorough in her work up and made sure to focus on my specific needs for the session. And much of the cost is covered by my insurance, just have to cover a copay. Note that most insurance covers acupuncture only for pain, but if you have pain in addition to another problem it should be covered. Highly recommend! read more

Before coming to Mend I had never tried acupuncture before. I was a little nervous, but as soon as I entered the building I was at ease. I've always felt very welcome and accepted at Mend as well. Their website has extensive bios on each practitioner so for my first session I was able to choose a person that I felt connected with. Since then I've worked with many different practitioners at Mend and all have been wonderful. I usually stick to 1:1 sessions but have gone to the community sessions as well and both are fantastic. I started acupuncture at MEND on a weekly basis just before the holidays in an effort to de-stress and care for myself during the madness of the season. It was the perfect weekly self-care routine that I needed to make it through. I had my first community session at Quarry Lake on a Sunday (I was thrilled to know MEND had a location that was open on Sundays!) and have been to Remington for every session since. Both spaces are lovely and the staff is helpful and kind. Remington is closer to where I live, so going there on a regular basis has worked well for me. I have seen Anjuli most of the time for community acupuncture, though I'd be happy to be cared for by any of the amazing acupuncturists. Anjuli always takes the time to explain just what she is hoping to treat based on my needs. She is gentle in her demeanor and her presence is calming. I utilized the Acupuncture treatments at Seeds Wellness and am extremely happy that I did. I had always thought that Acupuncture was something that was needed after a trauma but learned that it is a great treatment for healthy people too. Seeds has so much to offer in terms of nutrition and other aspects that western doctors typically do not have expertise in. My only regret is not doing this sooner. Seeds is always accommodating in terms of appointments and I love the fact that you can make appointments online without having to call. That is a great feature.
